Being that we are almost halfway through the season, I was wondering what the consensus thought is on Owen Daniels for the rest of the season. Bottom line...will he be top 5 at the end of the season?

Well let's see...

Daniels played what, two games without Schaub and has had a bye week, yet has still managed to:

- be 3rd in yards behind only Coolley & Witten (hasn't had a bye)

- 4th in targets behind Coolley, Witten, and Tony G

- Is tied for 3rd in TDs

I'd say he has a very good chance to finish top 3. He's currently on pace to finish with 90 catches for 1000 yards and 6 TDs

He's an animal. Officially moved into that 2nd tier with Gonzalez, Cooley, Scheffler, Clark cluster and might actually be creating a tier 2 all by himself when this season is over.

ETA: That new 2nd tier would probably include Cooley as well. Cooley's been a beast as too.

In our league's scoring format, I'd say definitely top 5. He's currently 2nd with both Gates and Cooley very close behind, and Gonzo a bit farther back. He'll still be watching from my bench except for week 10, barring an injury to Witten.
