P Manning... are we about to see a Repeat of the 2004 Season (1 Viewer)

The Defense took some major hits this off-season with the Loss of June & Harper.

The Running Game will be in the hands of a 2nd yr back with ????? and the O-Line just took a hit.

The Colts are going to lean on Manning more than ever this season...which could mean 05 #s.

I think he takes a hit yes.

The TE will be in to block more -

WR's wont have the time to get down field.

Manning will rush throws because he won't be able to trust his blind side.

I'm a Manning owner and will be happy with

3600 26 TD's and 14 INT's

luckily I aquired him fairly cheap this off-season.

They also lost both Jason David and Mike Doss and will be forced to lean on two inexperienced CB's (Jackson and Hayden). Sprinkle in the loss of Rhodes and the addition of Gonzalez, and I see a HUGE year for Manning.4300 yards - 38 TD's - 12 INT's

Yes 4 more, I think he will have to rush a lot of throws and make a few mistakes.

:lmao: Careers low in both yards and TD's, plus a 5-year high in INT's?? All b/c of the loss of Glenn?? LT's are critical for most QB's, but please remember that Manning has a Marino-like release time and simply doesn't take sacks. The guy magically feels pressure and is the master of the TE/RB dump-off. Manning has never averaged over 2 sacks/game in any season in his career......and I highly doubt his OL was stacked all nine years. To micro-manage Manning is simply over-thinking.

Those would be career low numbers for Peyton, even lower than his rookie year....with the weapons the Colts have and have had anything lower than 4000/28 would be a shock

I hope your right, I hope Glenn just wants to miss a little camp time. Glenn is a big hit if he decides in fact to retire He has no filed any papers with the league correct?

And, he'd be happy with that. Clearly, he is new to this FF thing.

I expect a season pretty similar to his average season, possibly a little below if Glenn retires. I don't see any reason to expect drastic changes in his numbers.

IF Glenn retires, Rhodes' blitz pickup may be missed a bit more. IIRC their oldest RB is from the CFL and their most experienced(years in NFL not gametime) is a former NFLE guy. I imagine Dungy and Moore will have Addai and DeDe and whomever practicing blitz pickups plenty this summer....just sayin'

No...he will not repeat his 2005 season. Is Brandon Stokeley on this team now? No. And no one is there to replace him yet.....do not expect miracles from a rookie WR (Gonzalez)

Also, both Houston and Jax will have very solid Ds this year. Houston has been consistently improving their DL.....it will affect Manning.

Doss didn't even play last year . . .

'A win again ov' you have been :own3d:

Im going way out on a limb. Not really. Id expect this year Manning will put up his usual 4000yds, but he'll also throw for the 2nd most TDs of his career. I can realistically see 40TDs. He basically hasnt gotten much the last 2 years out of his slot guy, Stokely, and he now appears to have a young version of that in Gonzalez. The D will be much weaker this year with all of the losses, and they lost half of their ground attack when Rhodes walked. I dont see Addai carrying the load, and I dont see any of those other guys bringing to the table what Rhodes did. He was a very underrated part of that O. Looking back on Marino's career #s, he had his 48TD season, and later had another 40TD season. So he was able to do it twice. I can see Manning hitting that mark again as well. Especially coming off the Superbowl season and no longer carrying that huge friggin' GORILLA around with him everywhere he goes. He'll play more relaxed, sling it a little better, and put up more scores. so, agreed.

Does anyone else see the Colts having a tougher time getting back to the Superbowl than the Bears?I mean, they lost half their rushing attack, Cato June (one of their best LBs), Nick Harper (good corner), and DT Corey Simon (good run-stopper). I could see them getting behind a lot meaning lower stats for Addai and higher stats for Manning, Wayne, and Marv.

Cato was not their best LB; Cato got crushed and run over on running plays... Simon didn't play much last yr... Harper will be missed. I think 35 too 40 TDs this yr for Manning is ver possible.
