This is really fun for a non Sea Hawk/Packer fan. Not sure how Goodell isn't on the phone for this call.
Yeah, he completely knocked Sam Shields down when he shoved him in the back right before he jumped for the ball.BLATANT push off that nobody here is even mentioning. This is ridiculous....Tate had an offensive PI to top it off.
Well at the end of the season in the standings, there isn't a "deserved to win" column. Not a Seahawks fan but I live here and I agree. The problem is the officiating is so bad it affects the outcome of games too many times over to know who would win in a Legitimate contest. Someone in here posted that regardless of who wins it would be illegitimate. He was right. Wipe this and about half the games played thus far off the books.Seriously Seahawks fans, it's cool to be excited about a win. But there is no way you deserved this victory.
No disagreement. But really, the last 5 minutes had 3 game-changing plays in favor of Seattle, and all 3 were bad calls. Absolutely brutal. The entire NFL should be embarrassed by this. Not a Seahawks fan but I live here and I agree. Goodell is just defending the shield and the integrity of the game. Some pretty blatant pass interference. Awesome job, Goodell.
Real refs are sittting at a bar somewhere laughing, knowing that going to get paid soon. They got most of them right tonight (except for that PI call on Finley). Cant complain about these guys tonight, they're doing a pretty good jobWell they got this one right.I think spot challenges should be done away with, I really don't think they get a ton of these right.![]()

Seriously Dr D? You're one of my favorite posters, but trying being a man about this.Well at the end of the season in the standings, there isn't a "deserved to win" column. Not a Seahawks fan but I live here and I agree. no officials even there for the PAT. What a gigantic cluster####.Simultaneous catch would be Seahawks TD.Simultanius catch has to be packers int
Sadly I 100% agree, words can't describe how bad a call this is.I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST SAW
make up call for Super Bowl XL.No disagreement. But really, the last 5 minutes had 3 game-changing plays in favor of Seattle, and all 3 were bad calls. Absolutely brutal. Except Jennings is down before tate gets two hands on the ball. The obvious O PI non call aside. Even if the D player "has more of the ball" it's still the O's ball.Watch it again. The amazing thing is everyone is here is going to bash the refs.....AND IT"S THE 100% RIGHT CALL
as the president of the united states, i stand by my claimYep, he said there was no joint possession. Tate had a hand on the ball, but that doesn't constitute possession.A former NFL ref disagreed with you.nope. correct calltate had both hands on the ball so it is technically a "tie" and a tie goes to the offenseOh they screwed it up. The replacement refs just cost the Packers the game. The NFL is so screwed.
i dunno, looks like join possession to me. he had both hands on the ball. didn't look like much of a grip though
Simultaneous catch is not an issue here. Jennings had the ball first.Simultaneous catch would be Seahawks TD.Simultanius catch has to be packers int
It couldn't be overturned because the simultaneous catch part (and the pass interference part) are not reviewable. The only way for it to be overturned would be if the ball hit the ground, or if Jennings stepped out of bounds, or something like that. And it gets worse. How can they not overturn that? Pretty clearly an INT.Well...just when you thought it could not get any worse.

thanks for bringing me a chuckle.
I don't think you were watching the right play. Tate never had possession. The obvious O PI non call aside. Even if the D player "has more of the ball" it's still the O's ball.Watch it again. The amazing thing is everyone is here is going to bash the refs.....AND IT"S THE 100% RIGHT CALL
No, they didn't. As mentioned by the ex-NFL ref on the show and multiple people in this thread Tate clearly only has one hand in the mix and then starts fighting for the ball. Tirico just said it again that Jennings had the ball first and then Tate fought for it. It was pretty clear from the replay that Jennings has it and Tate is falling back waiving his right hand and then goes after the ball.yes. the rule itself is kind of stupid, but that is the rule. the refs made the right call.is that true?nope. correct calltate had both hands on the ball so it is technically a "tie" and a tie goes to the offenseOh they screwed it up. The replacement refs just cost the Packers the game. The NFL is so screwed.
NO, it's not. Jennings controlled it first therefore it was not simultaneous.Secondly, the PI call on Shields and no-call on Tate's pushoff were AWFUL.Just AWFUL. Shameful display tonight. The amazing thing is everyone is here is going to bash the refs.....AND IT"S THE 100% RIGHT CALL
Or bat the defender away from the ball with a two hand shove.Thats why you bat the ball away as a defender I guess![]()

All kidding aside it seemed to be an INT, but a lot of teams don't deserve to win games and they do anyway. Something being "deserved" is subjective and not all that tangible in sports.Seriously Dr D?
