Last I heard, the Titans were planning on cutting him and were waiting to be able to recoup part of a signing bonus.

Now, nearly 2 months after the last time he was a big deal, there's no news on Jones. Did the Titans end up cutting him? Is he still eligible to apply for renstatment this year?

He's eligible for re-instatement in week 8. If he does return (unlikely IMO under Goodell) the Titans will probably try to move him in the offseason, they've tried to distance themselves from him, but want to return something on their first round pick.

The Titans still retain his rights and, as far as I can tell, plan on seeing how his suspension plays out before making any decisions on his future with the team. The league has an option to reduce the suspension to 8 games, but in light of what has transpired (wrestling, continued legal issues), I don't think that will happen. i hope that answers your question.

Titans have bigger fish to fry than worrying about PacMan. Doubt he's cut this year. Doubt he's reinstated this year either.

They are not cutting him now for sure because of cap ramifications.

As of right now they are going on as if he will not be around this year.

I believe the first time he could come back if reinstated would be week 10 or 11 (I think the reduction could be to 10 games, not 8 IIRC).

At this point he comes to the facility once a week to check in, receive treatment on his shoulder and work out I think.

The GM says he barely speaks to PacMan even when he is around (that per his Friday afternoon appearance on local sports talk www.1045thezone.com)

Personally, if its going to cost the Titans anything at all, then I want to see the guy stay here and play. Our Defense is looking very very good right now. With Pacman in there, it could be truly great.

I don't want problems, but i do want my monies worth. If they can get rid of him for free then good. If they have to pay anything at all or take a hit, play his butt and see if he can stay straight.
