Pacman vs Mayweather - 5/2/15 (1 Viewer)

At least one lawsuit filed already and likely fines, other sanctions based on the false sworn statement filed before the fight.

I say we put the cuba embargo on those ####ers
My hope is that this puts the knife in the heart of PPV boxing.
That and get it half assed organized. Boxing needs some type of organization like UFC or Bellator. Stop having these guys roll through their careers undefeated by fighting cans. That would get the casual fan back into it.
The PBC that has the CBS, NBC, and Spike deals is a step in the right direction. They have cast out all the BS alphabet soup "world" titles.

i'm afraid we will see the exact opposite unfortunately. Rumour out is that the PPV topped 5 million buys. Previous record was 2.48 mil for Mayweather-De La Hoya. that is insane. also scary as hell because they offered it for $100.

Kimmel was on BS Report.

Were not working on Manny's shoulder the hour or so before the fight. Kimmel was in the room with him.

In 3 rounds at Minute Maid Park on Saturday, Canelo delivered all the savagery Saturday lacked. KO of the year.

Now THAT IS BOxiNG!
Canelo is awesome. So is Golovkin, who won this weekend and is probably HBO boxing's meal ticket now that Pac's on the shelf/possibly on a very steep decline.

Saying boxing is dead b/c of the Mayweather fight is like saying music is dead because Taylor Swift wins the Grammy for best album.

I can appreciate Mayweather's fighting style but, yes, back-to-back weekends of Canelo and GGG have helped bring back some excitement to the main stage. And Roman Gonzales was VERY impressive on GGG's undercard. The only way a Mayweather fight will ever resemble any of these outings is if the opponent forces the match to go that way (like the Hatton or Madiana I fights). So if that's what you're after and you order a Mayweather fight, buyer beware.

Yeah, I think a lot of casual boxing fans bought into the hype without really doing any homework. Even a semi-casual boxing fan like myself had a pretty good idea how Pac/Mayweather would play out, and at the least that it would not be an "action" fight.

Good call on Gonzales too.
