Palmer to Start Week 7 (1 Viewer)

Palmer to start Sunday?

Carson Palmer appears set to start for the Raiders just five days after arriving in Oakland.

Offensive coordinator Al Saunders strongly suggested that Palmer will be the man for the Raiders on Sunday against the Chiefs when he was asked today on Fescoe in the Morning on 610 Sports Radio what Palmer needs to do to be the Raiders’ starter.

Saunders answered, “As long as he’s breathing.”
I saw Boller picked up in a few leagues for this week's start, but it appears OAK isn't going to wait until the BYE week to get Palmer going.

Against KC it's probably as good a time as any. Simple game plan:

Hand off right to DMAC.

Hand off left to DMAC.

Hand off middle to DMAC.

Short dump off to DMAC.

GL carry to Bush.

Rinse and recycle all game.

He may start for the Raiders next week, but I'm not going near him this week for fantasy purposes. He can sit on my bench until Week 9.

QB stable: Vick (bye), Grossman (benched), McNabb (benched). Choosing between Palmer, Ponder, or Beck, all new starters. I'm going with the guy who is known to have some talent, playing against a bad D.

bump D Moore
Why him and not Heyward-Bey and/or Ford out of curiosity?
This is what I've been trying to guage--who stands to benefit the most with Palmer at QB? Whoever it is is worth nabbing...
Heyward-Bey seems the safest guy right now. He's been playing well and finally showing some consistency.Ford is starting to get more involved. Go back to the summer and you'll see plenty of quotes from the Raiders talking about how much they like him. So I could see him becoming more of a factor as we go along.Moore seems to be the wild card. He's kind of faded lately but has a lot of talent in my opinion. That's probably how I'd rate them right now. DBH being a low-end WR2/high-end WR3. Ford a WR4 with upside and Moore a WR5 with upside. Just a guess on my part right now.Of course if Murphy stays healthy then he could be a factor too. He's been productive at times in the past. That's a nice group of young WRs the Raiders have if they can keep everyone healthy.

Thought I read that Palmer was working out in So Cal with Owens, TJ Housh, & another WR who I can't seem to remember while being "retired". Also like already mentioned, Owens & Palmer had a good season together in Cincy.

I for one don't believe the Raiders WR's are as good as most do.

"IF" TO truely is healthy (85%+), I think he would be the best WR on that team.
