Panthers 2nd-round pick agrees to contract

Second-round pick Richard Marshall has agreed to contract terms with the Carolina Panthers.

Marshall, a cornerback from Fresno State, will sign a four-year deal worth $2.86 million that includes a signing bonus of about $1.25 million.

Negotiations continue with two other unsigned draft picks, first-round running back DeAngelo Williams and fourth-round safety Nate Salley.

He may not be a starter this season with Lucas & Gamble! He has a good chance to contribute on Nickle Packages and earn a spot next year with (IIRC) Gamble a RFA next year.....
