Parking spaces be serious business (1 Viewer)

I had a parking ticket swiped off of my car yesterday. Parked on a permit only side of the street until 10pm on Saturdays, max $25 fine and a non-tow zone. I viewed that as my parking fee, since there was absolutely no parking anywhere near where I needed to park. No biggie.

Went to get something out of my car Saturday night, saw the ticket there as predicted. I always leave it on If I get one so the next shift meter maid doesn't give another one in the same time span. Came back in the AM, ticket no longer on my windshield.

Gotta love Philly and the folks keeping it classy taking parking tickets off of cars, nothing changes since I was little.

My aunt lives there...Has always seemed like an upscale community.
Cherry Hill has some really nice parts and some really not so nice parts. And some of the surrounding towns are really ghetto.
I was talking to a buddy of mine about this who lives near Cherry Hill. He made a good point, I think, that Cherry Hill mall "tries" to be like KOP. With Camden and Pensauken within driving distance, it simply can't achieve this.

People from Philly are complete #######s for the most part. Must have something to do with having to live there.

:goodposting:

I was there on Sunday...I've only been into Philly 3x since we moved to the central NJ area...I really dread going in each time. It's just such an awful place. I'm sure this will offend someone, but maybe not, as I think most of the people from Philly take pride in the chaos, rudeness and filth that an outsider sees. Overheard a guy getting a cheese steak who was complaining about all the trash on the tables being told by the guy making it, "You're not from around here, are you? This is how we do in Philly. Ain't no 5-star restaurant." Not sure how that was a badge of pride, but It was certainly delivered as if it was.

Yeah, I live in SJ and worked in Phily for several years and I just don't get it. People just throw trash on the ground despite trashcans being nearby, they absolutely revel in the reputation of rude and obnoxious people, etc. Having pride in being lousy individuals is a totally foreign concept to me.

It's probably just easier for them than not being a ####.

So you deprive somebody who does have a permit of the ability to park where they have prearranged to park and you are surprised someone would discommode you by taking the ticket. I'm surprised they did not do more to teach you some manners.
