Pat Angerer - IDP Roundtable (1 Viewer)

Just listening to the IDP RT and I have Angerer in my redraft league. I am trying to trade high. As they discussed his numbers are going down but still might be considered LB1 high LB2. I am concerned that he might not be holding up. Watching the game last week, he almost seems to be running away from contact. There were at least half dozen plays run right up the middle and he ends up being on the edge. Not sure if it was a scheme thing but in the beginning of the season he was always piling on plays, now he seems like he is standing around and late for dinner. My guy feeling is he isn't holding up physically but could it just be a scheme? Any thoughts on this.

Yea... I don't have much belief in him putting up numbers like he was earlier in the season. The past few weeks watching the Colts I find myself yelling at the screen as I agree it seems like he is shying away from first contact. He always seems to be around the ball but is very rarely the guy who steps up and makes the tackle. I'm also in a solo only league though, in that regard I'm not sure he has value as a LB1 or High LB2 the rest of the year as his solos have dropped every week.

Good thing for me early is we do get credit for assist.. byt even they are going down. Hopefully I can trade high, got one out there but haven't heard back

Tackles 1 point each

Assists 1 points for 1, and then 0.35 point for every 1 thereafter

Sacked a QB 1 point for every 0.5

FWIW:

In the last two home games, the Colts scorer has handed out 142 assisted tackles (avg 71). In the last two home games, the Titans scorer has handed out 60 assisted tackles (avg 30). I wouldn't count on Angerer getting a lot of assists if he's not at home

It really has nothing to do with how things are being scored. I am aware of the assist thing. It is hard to get an assist when you are standing 10 yards from the tackle. I think anyone who watched him earlier in the season he was all over the field. I compared him to watching Ray Lewis years ago. He was always around the ball and always in on tackles. now he is now where to be seen. Like I mentioned on almost every run up the middle this week he was gone. You expect your MLB to be in the picture on a run up the middle

There is no doubt in my mind theTampa-2 is eating away at his production. He consistently lines up deeper then usual an his drop back is way too deep to make an impact underneath.

It seems everything in this Tampa 2 funnels all the plays into the OLB's which is where Angerer made his big games early in season. Check the game against Tampa Bay when Freeman was throwing all

dump offs underneath. Look what Conner and the other OLB had that game.
