Pat Sims (1 Viewer)

I am in a bit of a quandary at DE/DT this week, and I checked John Norton's rankings for a fill-in option. I found DT Pat Sims of the Bengals ranked very high (8th). Through three games, his statistics are:

4 solos, 4 assists, 1 fumble recovery and 0.5 sack

What makes this matchup agains the Browns such a good one for Sims in everyone's opinion? Has anyone seen Sims play? If so, what have you seen from him?

I would really appreciate some input on this one.

I am watching this as well. I think he is getting a bigger bump this week because he is slated to start if Tank Johnson cannot play. I think the matchup is good too.

For a DT, Sims seems to make plays everytime he gets a chance. The Bengal D seemed to get much better last season once he took the place of Thornton. I'm not sure how much I would trust starting him unless it was a mandatory DT, but he certainly seems to make the most of his opportunity when he plays.

Pat Sims has good quickness at the snap. He gets players off balance with his sudden moves and power. He's got a decent spin move and plays with a solid motor. He will chase plays down within reason for a DT and hits with some explosiveness. From what I've seen he seems to hold up pretty well throughout the game as well.
