Classy Steelers coaches attacking a Patriots fan last night.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/13630481/pittsburgh-steelers-assistant-james-daniel-being-investigated-nfl-allegedly-assaulting-patriots-fan

NFL security is investigating Pittsburgh Steelers tight ends coach James Daniel for allegedly assaulting and verbally accosting a New England Patriots fan on the way to the locker room before halftime, according to league sources.
Thugs.
Hopefully it was one of these guys
Don't get bitter, get better.
That you on the left?

So basically what I've learned in the past 15 hours is that a multi-billion dollar league and its collective franchises have dollar store quality electronic infrastructure and equipment. Good job NFL.

I wasn't trying to convince you the Patriots got cheated. I was responding to your point that other teams might start cheating against them in retaliation.
Close ... I am positing an escalation, not a start from zero. "Other teams might start cheating more and differently, and with more ill intent."

Not tomorrow ... but down the road ... do you want to follow a sport where, say, going after players' families is fair game? Maybe it won't ever come to something like that. But, heck, why are so many cavalier about potential cheat escalation now?

Per Schefter:

Steelers did not and will not file a complaint to NFL about headset communication last night, per team official.

THE END.

My apologies too. "Tripping cheater", that's beautiful, so true. I'm surprised he didn't play the race card while he's at it. Tomlin should worry about his defense and leaving Gronk wide open. This headsetgate is only an issue to those who want to make it one. Tomlin is a disgrace. Hines Ward is an "excuse making" disgrace, and the list of the classless ones only gets bigger.

:lmao:

Yes, it is entirely possible that the evidence existed, but that the judge was having trouble finding it because:

a) The "evidence" had light-bending properties, rendering it invisible

b) The "evidence" acted like Schroedinger's cat: there was plenty of evidence showing guilt, but as soon as the judge peeked at it, it changed quantum states

c) The "evidence" was there, but the judge left his eyeglasses at home, so he couldn't find it

d) Belichick used the Force on the judge, and convinced him that: "these are not the droids you are looking for"

e) The judge's dog ate the "evidence" after eating his kid's homework

f) Bigfoot stole the "evidence" because I hear Bigfoot is a big Pats homer

I've noticed throughout this thread what an offensive person you are, and your inability to accept logic or address facts. Given that, I would far rather you laugh at my postings than to agree with them.

THE END.
Hilarious, Tomlin confirmed worse than Harbaww
Another false cheating accusation vs the Patriots debunked. The NFL handles the headsets, not the Patriots.

Yourteamcheats.com should start a new section listing all the false accusations debunked. :P
Not really the story. The NFL provides the headsets. The hosting team hooks them up to a system operated and maintained by the hosting team. As usual, when a chain has many links you only see one, and not clearly.

I think too much sodium in his diet.

Doug, i appreciate that you seem to believe that other teams have been going easy on the Patriots until now, I really do. But come on.

As an example, the Patriots were likely robbed of a title by cheaters in 2006. Like when the dolphins bought tapes of brady's line calls, beat the hell out of him, then bragged about it. The NFL didn't investigate or throw the book at the dolphins. But by today's standards, apparently that was a no no.

If the dolphins don't cheat that game, the Colts wouldn't have had the chance to host their afc championship game, as both teams finished 12-4. The Patriots were soundly beating the Colts in the first half of the game, and then the problems started happening. The Patriots audio went out. Crowd noise was not only pumped in, it was caught on tv, because they accidentally played it in a loop. And with several patriots dealing with the flu, the Colts accidentally dialed up the temperature, causing several of them to leave the game puking. Manning would go on to stage a huge comeback, which led to his only championship. Despite his rocky history against the Patriots, this was the only game during that run where he didn't have multiple turnovers. And the winner of that game got to play the Rex Grossman bears.

But these things weren't investigated. There was no tape gate, no headset gate, no crowd noise gate, no heat gate. As it should be. No quarter asked and non given.

This is a battle in the court of public opinion, always has been. And if some other team gets caught cheating against the Patriots - again - the response from most fans will be good, they deserved it. It's part of being on top.
The AFC Championship game was not the "noisegate" game, and that "loop" was only heard on TV.

Sure...why dispute the home teams also control parts of it and not just the league?

BTW...I don't know think the pats did anything. Even they aren't dumb enough to try pulling it.

NFL does need to look into their own communicatiin issues at stadiums though.

Hmmm, so there have been 2 false cheating accusations vs. the Patriots debunked in the last 24 hours. That must be a new speed record. :pickle:

a) False accusation #1 debunked: Headset-gate

"The NFL says the New England Patriots had nothing to do with audio interference that rendered the Pittsburgh Steelerscoaching headsets useless during the first quarter on opening night."

http://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/828603

b) False accusation #2 debunked: Formation-Gate (again)

"It’s a legal move so long as the Patriots don’t cross the line of scrimmage, which they didn’t appear to in this instance."

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/09/11/headsets-werent-all-the-steelers-were-complaining-about-post-game/

Not sure why you consider the truth to be spam. Also, it should be obvious which group of people here had no evidence and were spreading falsehoods all day. :P

Allegedly.

So now I have found two three that football guys have tried to bury in a year old thread about deflate gate.....

More coverup or can we get a new topic?

Can't give them the benefit of the doubt. Repeat offenders and all.
NFL screwed themselves back with spygate not getting the everything out there and burning the truth how the Pats stole 3 Super Bowls. No one has sympathy for them outside the northeast. It's hilarious to see every team and news outlet seeing what the pats are at this point. No team in any major sport has been called cheaters this many times without truth behind it.

Not the same thing as saying it is debunked only by the fact that the NFL handles one link in the chain, his claim. If the NFL has now examined all the links in the chain that is another matter. It is a simple matter of logic and reading comprehension. He exercises neither. He propagates misinformation as fact because the facts do not interest him, only the outcome that the Pats be exonerated. The truth should not be ignored.

Haha, you were one of the biggest defenders of the misinformation campaign in the Wells Report. Whenever someone pointed out an obvious hole there, you were only interested in sticking it to the Patriots, and assuming your own conclusions.

Please stop pretending that you are unbiased and interested in the truth. :lmao:

I hope we get 3 or 4 stories like this after every game.
It is fun watching Salty Haters get all excited and jumping to conclusions of cheating, and then getting their spirits crushed after their accusations are publicly exposed as baseless.

Almost as fun as watching the Patriots win so much. :P

Is there anyone out there that actually believes the Patriots were cheating last night? It blows me away how ridiculous people are.

When you are on top as long as the Pats have been, people get jealous and start slinging crap. Happened with the footballs, happened last night.

Such a joke.

Learn to tackle, Steelers

The Patriots of the early 2000's were akin to the Detroit Pistons of the late 80's.

In recent year I actually have gained a lot of respect for Belichick and don't have that strong of an opinion of them one way or another. Now if only they had better fans...

Yeah, pretty lame.

Even if somehow there was even an inkling of truth to it, the bigger story would how incompetent the NFL is that one of the teams is able to hack the headsets.

Steelers lost because they shot themselves in the foot too many times, just like the Colts lost 8 months ago because they couldn't play offense or defense in the biggest game of their season.

If that's the best example you have for calling Colts fans classless, then comparatively they must not be that bad.
