The poll is a simple vote of who wins the game. Please post your score prediction. Let's try to consolidate all the banter and game discussion on this one in here and try to be (mostly) civil.

Patriots 70

Colts 10

On a serious note, any line with Patriots at -10 or less is free money.

Both teams have great offenses.

One team also has a great defense, while the other has a very adequate to good defense.

The more complete team will win a relatively close one, as opposed to the blowouts we've been seeing.

Pats 31 to 24

The Colts need to get Marvin back at full speed. No healthy Marvin. No chance. And I say that because the Colts will need to score alot of points to keep up with these guys. NE's gonna focus on stopping Addai. Imo, their game plan will revolve around shutting that down, and with Seymour and Harrison back, theyre in much better shape. They can account for Wayne. And theyve done a good job on TEs this year, so Clark shouldnt kill them. And Gonzalez just isnt ready for a game like this. But Marvin needs to be able to make plays down the field to open things up.

I dont see any team stopping NE's O this year, including the Colts. They have too much to account for. They'll probably get Ben Watson back for this one. Just another threat to deal with. And I have alot of respect for Indy's D. Theyre one of the 3 best in the league right now. But this New England O may be the greatest Ive ever seen. And New England is still pissed.

Ive got New England going away. 37-24

I'm just not as sold on the Colts defense as I am on the Patriots although it wouldn't surprise me to see Peyton throw for 300+ with 3 TD but I just see the Patriots offense as being too much to handle for the Colts defense. What is making the Patriots so effective is that they're making teams respect the deep ball to Moss, forcing open those short 5-7 yard dumps to Welker and Stallworth getting RAC yards. I'm also impressed by the fact that the Patriots always rack up a ton of first downs, with their receivers often knowing where the first down marker is (like the Colts do). If the Pats can sustain their long drives early and keep Peyton off the field, they'll win this pretty easily.

Indianapolis 31, NE 24

Not having a great running game will finally get them in trouble. The Colts will get enough pressure at times to cause Brady fits.

You got to beat the Champs to become the Champ, sticking with the Colts.

On New England's last 3 wins.

-The Pats hadnt beaten Dallas in probably a dozen years, and Brady had never played in Texas Stadium and had never beaten Dallas. Result, 21 point win.

- The Pats were 2-5 in Miami under Belichick, Brady was 2-4 in Miami, and they lost last year in Miami 21-0. Result, 21 point win.

-The Pats were 0 for their last 6 vs Washington and hadnt beaten them since 1972. Belichick, Brady and NE had never beaten them. Result, 45 point win.

Next week, NE will be trying to beat Indy for the 1st time in 4 games. Theyve lost their last 2 regular season games with Indy and last 3 overall, including a huge playoff loss that prevented them from possibly winning a 4th Superbowl title. Expected result, NE wins BIG.

Colts 34 to 30. I'm only picking the Colts because I'm a fan of the Colts.

Coach Belichick says the Colts are the best team in football.

He notes that the Colts have won the last 3 matchups and are defending superbowl champions.

My prediction:

NE 48

Indy 13

Maroney: 19/142/2, 5/64/1

Can't see the Colts keeping this close, except by fluke (injury, huge number of turnovers).

Expected score -- Pats 45, Colts 24

I agree with the score. And this is the ONE game that the Pats can run up the score and justify it based upon last year's collapse.

It depresses me to type my prediction, number one as a Colt and Peyton Manning fan and number two as if it comes to pass, the Patriots will be huge favorites in every game the rest of the year.

Only good side is that the obnoxious last undefeated team (Dolphins) will have some equally obnoxious company.

Patriots 41, Colts 21.

Why? The Colts are undefeated and are the Super Bowl Champions. They have won 61 of 68 games and are the most dominating franchise in that span since the 85 Bear era and you can't see this team keeping it close at home?I say this out of respect but people have lost their mind.

:suds:The Patriots will crush everyone until someone proves they can't be crushed. As good as the above stats on the Colts look ... the Pats look quite a bit better to me right now. Just a personal impression, not number-crunching.

If the Patriots lose 35-0, they'll still be huge favorites in every game the rest of the season except when they play Indy again in the playoffs. Especially if they lose because BB will become even more vicious and determined to destroy all teams in his path. One thing's for sure, this will be the first time in 6 years I've had DTV and multiple TVs that my Seahawks game will be on the small TV. And up until this season I'd be pulling for the Pats. Until this season I thought they were a great story, I liked Brady and Vrabel and the way they took guys like Dillon and Harrison and Seau and Chad Brown into their system and rejuvenated them. And I always thought the Colts were just bland. No real character to the team, just solid production. But I can't agree with the way BB is running the team this season and I've lost almost all respect for Brady.

By my math, since 2003 the Colts overall are 64-17 and the Pats are 67-16.

I think a lot of people are underestimating the Colts D. Right now the Pats are 3rd in yards allowed per game (268.5) and the Colts are 4th (272.9). Average points allowed per game puts the Colts 2nd (14.6) and the Patriots 5th (15.9). The Colts are also 2nd in passing yards per game which is the Patriots strength. I'd say this season both teams have very adequate defenses. Also take into consideration that the Colts opponents have a combined 27-23 record while the Patriots opponents are 26-31 I can see the Colts winning the game 31 to 27.
