I like that our draft is not following the typical RB/RB/WR/WR path that most go down.

Mixing it up keeps it interesting.

5.2 - Kevin Curtis

Should be even better in year two in the system. Makes a really good WR3, esp in a PPR.

Man that was a lot tougher pick to make than I thought it would be.

Thru 5:

RB- Westy, Jamal,

WR- Evans, Coles

TE- KW2

With Westy and a top 4 TE, the rest of this core is just solid players with jobs. No flash at WR, but as most of you know that's how I like 'em

Cowboy is a middle school teacher, not sure if he can get to the web while working or not.

after him is the left coasters again anyway

so there will be a slight delay. Feel free to brag/bemoan your squad

I like Evans as a player, and do expect him to bounce back this year, but after he killed me last year (conspiring with Marc Bulger) I just couldn't pull the trigger.

Look back the Bills early season schedule last year it was just brutal, he was matched up with Champ Bailey,Assante Samuel, Chris McAllister, etc.I expect better numbers. Dude's got talent, his QB siutation just isnt the best.

My squad's nothing to brag about.

QB: Peyton

RB: Grant/Graham

WR:

TE: Dallas Clark

I'm going to have to get lucky with a couple of WR picks in the late rounds just to avoid being the first one down.

Evans was my other option at 4.09 with Cotchery. Definitely will have better numbers, but more likely to be up/down which is why I went with Jerricho.

I wanted one of Jerricho/Coles so Im happy to add a true #1wr and Coles who is 1b at the worst on the NYJ

As long as Sjax stays healthy.
You can say that about any player in the NFL.
What I meant is that having 1 starting rb in rd 5 doesnt give you much room to play with. Jeter will obviously have to hit on his #2 and #3 rb. His chances diminish greatly if Sjax misses just a few games with a injury plus that bye week. It could be enough to do him in if he doesnt hit on those later round RB's.Oh, and dont question me noob, i won PDSL 3 last year.

Doesn't change the argument. As I understand it, any major injury is going to severely hinder a survivor team.

I question everybody about everything. I'm pretty  that way.

I'm liking the look of your team right now. Waiting on the WRs didn't seem to hurt much in my opinion, to get a top WR/TE combo and a solid RB2.

With having only 1 true starting rb at this point jeter wouldnt even need a "major" injury to do him in. It all boils down to hitting on those later rb's. "The milks gone bad" as far as the starters go.

Thanks. Being at the top of the draft helps with that.I dont have that big name WR. But as we know those guys even throw up some clunkers now and again.Depth more so than names at WR is key.I wouldnt have took a RB in round 2 if Jamal wasnt available he was IMO, the last of the non-RBBC with a proven track record.

I dont, I just dont trust jamal as those wr's are VERY inconsistant. I could be wrong, but i doubt it. :goodposting:

:goodposting:the last two season my PDSL teams have been the first eliminated of all my survivors. I usually have massive injuries and or retirements. last year Keyshawn retired on me. the year before Jimmy Smith

Hasselbeck

LT

Housh Welker Ward

2 leaders for recept totals last year

Seems like I have 2 of jamal hass and ward on each of my teams this year so far.

Having been in these leagues for awhile, I would say:

- It doesn't matter what your draft slot is.

- Earlier weaknesses can be corrected later in the draft . . . if people draft right.

- Scoring more points will win the league, not big names. It doesn't matter where you get points from.

- Know thy scoring system and how to use it to your advantage

- Certain positions are prime for getting good scoring from through depth and not so much early round picks.

- You can't predict health, and any team can have early round picks go down to injury, but even with a few injuries teams can still survive.

- No one is going to win or lose the league through 5 rounds. People may win the league in Rounds 6-16.

Not happening dude. They already have plans for more dumpoffs for lynch and Brown will be ready week1. Grabbed Turner as insurance just in case. Jennings was a steal at 4.8.

Thru 4:

Rb: L. Johnson, D. McFadden

Wr: TO, S. Holmes

Good start, I thought both rb's were good value where I got them.

- No one is going to lose the league through 5 rounds.
Disagree with this statement. Three years ago I knew that I was toast after 5 rounds drafting from the 16 hole (Manning/non-RB). Tried some late draft hail mary's but was done early in the season. I you reach on too many picks or paint yourself into a corner you won't beat a group this strong.

Two guys I want, neither will make it back. Guess I'll go this one:

5.08 WR Donald Driver, Green Bay Packers

Will be a drop per QB change from Favre to Rodgers, but should have more than 2 TDs this year. Please?

I suppose you could also look at it that you didn't draft well later on either and simply had a bad draft overall. In theory people in the 16 hole are at a disadvantage, but I don't think that it is insurmountable. I personally think we should have changed the order of who drafted where for the leagues this year. Not that I am the world's greatest drafter, but I really didn't need to have the #2 spot.In last year's Anarchy leagues, the winners/contenders came from all different draft spots. I understand that those leagues are different, but I have seen people in 16 team leagues still do well drafting in the teens.
