Tom Hardy is brilliant in everything he does. Rarely gets mentioned with the great actors but should.WOW
Finished Season 3 last night - one of the better season finales I've ever seen - until the last 2 minutes. Did not expect that - WTF ?!
Tom Hardy as Alfie the Rabbi gangster is just fantastic - he does not get enough screen time imo. Just wow.
Happy to hear there will be a season 4 & 5 - but when will that happen? 2017? ugh
I think it hooked me right away. I'd give it a few episodes at least before you write it off. It is great television IMO.How long did it take you folks to get into the show? I started episode one twice (about 3 months apart) and both times I shut it down before it was over.
Same here. I could not understand them. How long did it take you folks to get into the show? I started episode one twice (about 3 months apart) and both times I shut it down before it was over.

When you first start watching it, having the closed captioning on helps. Then, after a while, we seemed to be able to understand them better. The accents are pretty heavy and they do use quite a bit of slang.Same here. I could not understand them.
3 seasons later and I still use CC.When you first start watching it, having the closed captioning on helps. Then, after a while, we seemed to be able to understand them better. The accents are pretty heavy and they do use quite a bit of slang.
I literally use it for any movie/show I watch.Buddy Ball 2K3 said:3 seasons later and I still use CC.
Perhaps, priest Hughes can translate for you??northern exposure said:When you first start watching it, having the closed captioning on helps. Then, after a while, we seemed to be able to understand them better. The accents are pretty heavy and they do use quite a bit of slang.
I really like hardy. He was in a pretty good movie called the drop with James Gandolfini in one of his last roles. Was on hbo about a year ago, not sure if still available as I don't have cable currently.Tom Hardy is brilliant in everything he does. Rarely gets mentioned with the great actors but should.
Just finish S1 (6 eps) and you should be hooked on some level.I'm three episodes in and am struggling with the pace. Should I expect more of the same or do things pick up a bit?

It's probably not for you.I'm three episodes in and am struggling with the pace. Should I expect more of the same or do things pick up a bit?
You might find "Suits" more to your liking.I'm three episodes in and am struggling with the pace. Should I expect more of the same or do things pick up a bit?
Oddly enough, the next episode after I said something, E4, has me hooked. You might find "Suits" more to your liking.
I googled it lazyass. Looks like they aren't shooting until March. When does it restart?

I read this in Arthur ####in Shelby's voiceHappy Peaky Mother####ing Blinders Day!
Brody was ok. I liked what they did with Aidan Gillen. Not really a fan of Brody but looking forward to the new season.
Looking forward to season 4. I have found myself muttering "By Order of the Peaky F******* Blinders" at various times, I love how the Arthur character has evolved.Happy Peaky Mother####ing Blinders Day!
Its a BBC show. Pretty normal. So Netflix didn't get this going until yesterday? I won't say what I was going to say then. Watched S4 over the past 10 days on the firestick.
Easily one of the best shows I never hear anyone talk about. Good to hear there will be a S5. Is there any specific explanation why they do 6 episodes per season? I want more!
IMBD says its the same actress but something seems very different to me. I recall her being kind of odd looking but I was very attracted to her, now not so much.prosopis said:Love this show ans season four is not disappointing.
Did they change the actress for Ada? She looks way different this season.
Never watched a BBC show before, didn't know that's how they rolled. Slight hijack...but what else am I missing out on from that part of the world? Its a BBC show. Pretty normal.

Ugh, Brody is so bad. Even worse than I thought he would be.Brody was ok. I liked what they did with Aidan Gillen. Not really a fan of Brody but looking forward to the new season.
Agree with others that say Tom Hardy (Alfie) is great. The scene with him and Brody in the last episode was all time awesome.
The first scene he was in I was like...who is that! When he came back I figured it out. Between The Wire, GoT and this, he seems to be typecast.Littlefinger!
I just noticed his name in the credits of king Arthur so I think you're on to something. The first scene he was in I was like...who is that! When he came back I figured it out. Between The Wire, GoT and this, he seems to be typecast.
