Percy Harvin was diagnosed with sleep apnea after doctors suspected he was not getting enough oxygen while he was sleeping, reports NBC's Andrea Kramer. Harvin took a sleep test and his heart stopped beating while asleep, which confirmed his sleep apnea. Doctors believe the sleep apnea was the main cause for Harvin's migraines. Harvin now sleeps wit a device on to regulate the oxygen he receives while sleeping.
This might be a significant factor, but doesn't he also have some kind of neck/spine issue that sparks them?
Sleep apnea is when you interrupt Oxygen flow to the brain...I don't think your heart stops beating. Also the device is probably an auto-PAP or C-PAP, which regulates the pressure of breathing air, keeping the back of your throat from collapsing/relaxing when you sleep. It doesn't directly regulate Oxygen, unless he's got one of those Jacko O2 chambers.
Sounds to me like whoever wrote this article doesn't really understand, I don't see how sleep apnea would relate to migranes.
What was this post about again?
