Had to spend some time calling around about a payment that got lost or misapplied. OK, it happens. Had to key in account numbers, addresses, zip codes, routing numbers, bank account numbers, policy numbers, terminal numbers, serial numbers, tax ID numbers, etc. into voicemail prompts. OK, that sort of makes sense, I guess.
But to then have to repeat and verbalize ALL THE SAME INFORMATION every time I got passed around from department to department to EACH AND EVERY REPRESENTATIVE makes NO SENSE. I had to repeat all of that like 10 times. You know, in the interest of security. As if the first 9 security authorizations weren't enough. Funny, where was that level of security when they mucked up the payment to begin with?
