Don't the Bears give up the most points to TEs? What's with the low (17) ranking in a PPR?

Surprised, might give him a start.

Looks like he's getting quite a bit of garbage time receptions here. He'll probably salvage his day for you guys.

Dude's a lock for 70 and 700 already and it's his 3rd year. He's one of the best blocking TEs and likely an all-pro one day.

For FF, his blocking keeps him in close and that upsets some as has always been the case for TEs in FF. It's tough to figure out when he'll have a 6,7,8 catch game, but he gets em' and is a fine TE for FF.

I think the WDIS decisions and ranking have to do with blocking. Maybe he's needed for Kevin Smith moreso this week.

was pretty clear to me that pettigrew was being used as a blocking back as the lions were going with three wide receivers quite a bit. this seemed to change a little when kevin smith went out. we shall see what happens in the second half. not sure if this is game planning for this game only or a sign of things to come for the rest of the season.

Rotoworld:

DetroitLions.com considers Brandon Pettigrew the "only true all-around player" in the Lions' tight end corps.
The takeaway being that Tony Scheffler is not an "all-around player." Neither player was effective in 2012, but only Scheffler was considered a candidate for release. Going into the final year of his contract, it's still possible he and his $1.95 million salary could be cut loose or traded in camp, but it's unlikely at this point. Scheffler proved unequivocally last season that he can't even be counted on as a fill-in in fantasy leagues.
