I have never even considered benching him this year, but I have Romo and really like his matchup this week.

Is anyone getting a little nervous with Peyton the last few weeks?

I have Brees and have been playing Manning all year. Looking to play Brees today.Romo is agood start too.

Answer this question -- can you live with yourself for benching Peyton in the playoffs if he scores 35 points on your bench? I like Romo a lot too, but you've got to start Manning.

If you are just now figuring out to bench Manning, your season is probably over anyway. If you do have any meaninful games left, sit him.

What does that mean exactly? I have Manning.... I'm in the playoffs... and I'm not even considering benching him.And unless you have Drew Brees as your back up.... not sure what point you're trying to make.

Yeah, but you know what you are doing, so your roster probably has the depth at other positions to overcome Manning's mere 5 TD passes over the past four weeks.

I'll give you that. But he's still the #2 QB in fantasy points and can blow up in any given game. You just seem pretty sure that benching him is a good move. Just curious as to who exactly you would bench him for this week?

I was listening to Sporting News radio this morning and they had an FF portion...I did not catch the name of the guy giving the advice but he brought up two good points:1) Peyton usually puts up a real stinker this time of year2) He was pretty poor vs. Jax earlier this season Considering most people wasted an early round pick on him, its likely that these guys like are potential candidates to be on their roster as alternates.BreesRomoDelhommeGrossmanBrees is a lock to throw more TD's than Peyton this week, so if you have him, you have to play him.

Brees

Romo

Delhomme

Grossman

Well since Delhomme is inactive... and Grossman sucks. We're looking at Brees and Romo. I agree that Brees is a better start. Not so sure about Romo anymore... since they love to feed the ball to MBIII down near the goal. He could have a great game... but he could just as easily be on the winning end of a 24-21 game and have no TD passes to show for it.Your original post in this thread said that you should have been benching Manning for a while now. Next time you should punctuate that with.... if you have Brees as your back up.

Unless you have Vick in a 1 point per 10 yards rushing vs. 25 yards passing league....there is no QB I would start over Manning today. He is due to go off.

I'd play anyone over Manning today. Addai is the only Colt with value anymore.

NEVER BENCH MANNING period
Zero TD passes today.
LOL.... lots of football to play yet.
 for more int's and rushing td's
:goodposting: Its ironic. Manning used to really care about his stats, but now all he really cares about is his image. I guess its to protect his endoresements, but he's going to hand off whenever possible in the red zone these days...I don't know if he is trying to be a "team" player or if his confidence is completely shattered, but he'd been miserable lately. Lots of Peyton owners are one and done after this week.

I guy who's concerned about his image doesn't stay in a game where he's down 44-17 with less than 4 minutes to play. The game is essentially unwinnable. And by the way... he just went over 300 yards passing.

300 a pick and a rushing TD.

He was a good fantasy play today in a game in which the entire Colts team struggled.

That said, if I had Brees or Romo on my bench behind Manning in the league in which I own Manning, I probably would have started them over Manning.

I have Joey Harrington as Manning's b/u and I wasn't going to start him against the Pats' D, even though Harrington had a good fantasy day.
