Stumbled across this last night and thought it might make a fun read for some of you out there. The FF articles are the most interesting IMO. Take a look at a few of these tidbits:
1998:
The pre-season list of sleepers for is gold. It includes such names as Jim Harbaugh, Jake Reed, Duce Staley (who did actually have 1,000 yards that year), and a bunch of other horribly obscure names. However, there was one fantastic call in there:[Randy] Moss probably will score more touchdowns than most rookie wideouts (the guess here is 5-6), but I don’t see him as much of a factor in yardage leagues.
Then a 1999 article talks about the Rams offense. The writer is skeptical about how good they'll actually be. He is intrigued by Kurt Warner, an "arena league refugee who showed some potential with Iowa," but then cautions that Marshall Faulk won't put up the same numbers he did with the Colts. Also an article about the debate between Fred Taylor and Jamal Anderson as the #2 pick for 1999, behind Terrell Davis. Not that it mattered - all three of them ended up hurt anyway.#3 QB Randall Cunningham, Vikings — The Viking passing game will be explosive, no matter who plays quarterback. If anything happens to starting QB Brad Johnson, Cunningham’s stock goes through the roof.
