I think there was a general tendency/ bias towards NE from ALL the sportscasters...I suppose it should be expected with their recent playoff success creating high expectations. However, Denver deserved more credit for how they played versus questioning calls against NE. ( i.e. ..I thought the interference call on Samuel was not as bad a call as Simms and others were saying...both players were fighting for position and those calls can go either way...)Any other Bronco fan or other out there sick in the stomach over Sims gushing all over the Patriots all game long. I didn't know he loved Brady soooo much, and the world champion Patriots! I though the commentaters were supposed to at least appear to be unbiased.![]()
Nah, it was a pretty bad call. Both players were playing the ball and the ball was overthrown and uncatchable. But bad calls happen all the time. I'm sure NE has gotten some calls over the years as well. You gotta expect a few on the road and overcome them.I think there was a general tendency/ bias towards NE from ALL the sportscasters...I suppose it should be expected with their recent playoff success creating high expectations. It was an awful call. But you're talking about a play that would have made the game 23-13 instead of 27-13. The team was on the NE 40 for Pete's sake. Everything else was fine. Just a great job by Denver's defense and special teams and a very overlooked performance by Jake Plummer who could have easily handed off to his three running backs to kill clock and still aired it out to show that he can control a game when asked.Nah, it was a pretty bad call. Phil Simms is, if nothing else, consistent. Consistently biaed against the Broncos, that is...it's painful to listen to him. Heck, he even wore red and yellow diring a Broncos/Cheifs game - can you consider an announder as being unbiased when he is wearing the oppositions colors?Any other Bronco fan or other out there sick in the stomach over Sims gushing all over the Patriots all game long. No one will ever be as bad as Todd Christensen. He would cheer when Elway got sacked.Phil Simms is, if nothing else, consistent. "But bad calls happen all the time. I'm sure NE has gotten some calls over the years as well."
Can you say "Tuck Rule?" Its a rule, but no one had ever heard of it until it saved Brady's butt.
of a sudden he isn't a team player because he won't go over the middle and take one for the team.

Ah, the patron saint of the CBS Snooze Crew! Let the countdown begin until that damn network contract is up!I just think Phil Simms is a horrible announcer to begin with. He frequently puts the emphasis on the wrong word in sentences and every time he says "Pro Bo" or "Super Bo" I want to pull my hair out (and I don't have much to spare!).
