Phrases/terms that need to be retired immediately (1 Viewer)

Stating your stupid opinion and finishing the post with "/thread"
Only if it is a stupid post. If it is indeed salient and satisfies the OPs main argument or disproves it, then it is still appropriate.
99% of the time or more, it is used after one person gives an opinion. It is rarely, if ever, used after anyone has proved or disproved anything.
Then yes. Time to retire it. Another one in the same vein as "cool story bro" is "keep us posted" in regards to people posting about trades they've made or who they are playing that week even when it is relevant to the topic of the thread. It had its day... in 2010. Now you just sound like an #####.

:goodposting: It takes a pretty stupid person to think they've got the final answer.
Yeah and I'm talking about true opinion threads. Like "What's the best color?".This is happening too often. Your subjective opinion does not mean the discussion ought to cease and the thread locked.

Sorry, still funny.

Probably the best part of this thread is realizing I haven't hard about 95% of these things. Guess I don't work around seriously annoying people like a lot of you are forced to do.

Has "Romnesia" made the list?

Although this twist makes it quite interesting:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemesis_%28mythology%29

In Greek mythology, Nemesis (Greek, Νέμεσις), also called Rhamnousia/Rhamnusia (“the goddess of Rhamnous”) at her sanctuary at Rhamnous, north of Marathon, was the spirit of divine retribution against those who succumb to hubris (arrogance before the gods). The Greeks personified vengeful fate as a remorseless goddess: the goddess of revenge. The name Nemesis is related to the Greek word νέμειν [némein], meaning “to give what is due”.

"Last time I checked" when discussing something that is apparently obvious to you. But you didn't check. You're just a condescending ****.
