I'm also tired of the unnecessary "the" in news pieces and other similar writings to describe people by their occupation. Example: "in those days, one of her close friends was the actor Ron Jeremy"It's just "actor Ron Jeremy," FFS. Just cut this out, New York Times and others.
Also, the ubiquitous "talks," as in "Kristen Stewart talks Twlilight XVII" in headlines/blurbs. I'm also tired of sideline reporters and other interviewers ordering celebs to "talk about" something, as in, "talk about when you were an accessory to murder in Atlanta." Please ask, don't issue commands.
