He said, "We need to find a way supersize their grades...I see Joe did good on this assignment, but it was only worth 10 points. Can we supersize that one so it helps his grade more?"

Used in those contexts, they seem pretty dumb. I think it can have niche uses that are acceptable besides the McDonalds one.
