When did all the positions in basketball become numbers? Was Karl Malone a 3 or a 4?? I have no idea.
I don't even know what the numbers mean. I'm sure Karl Malone is a 1 with his mom.
I thought he was more of a 2 or 3
Definitely a 4.
:goodposting: 1- point guard2- shooting guard3- small forward4- power forward5- center
Complaining about numbers for basketball positions is like complaining about football positions beyond QB, RB, WR, TE, OL, DL, LB, DB."What are with these "X" and "Z" receivers? When I played high school ball, we were just wide receivers."

Andy Reid wants to introduce you to the Wide 9, which he thinks he invented two seasons ago.

Sportscasters bringing up names in a roundabout way...

"the last guy to do that was a gentleman you might know who goes by the name of Mr. Michael Jeffrey Jordan"

and even stuff like

"the only guy to do it not named Montana"

Yeah - I thought this would go away, but it seems like more people are doing it. Just horrible.
I still have to look it up everytime I see it.
I know it means "shake my head" but ever single time I see it, my mind reads it as "so much hate"
:hifive: I thought it meant exactly that the first 1,000 times I saw it. The usage pretty much fits either way. Yeah, dumb.

Never bothered to look up what it meant because of how bad it is. Always thought it was so much hate.

"but hey, don't let the facts get in the way."

Stop using this as an excuse that you've been stumped and are trying to save face because you can't come up with anything more convincing to say.

Has the word "Reboot" been mentioned yet? If it hasn't, allow me to toss it into the ring. Saying a movie is being "rebooted" instead of "remade" makes you sound like a conceited ##### canoe who is trying hard to sound cool and hip. It's lame. It's almost as bad as referring to new albums or books as "dropping". Stop that. You are middle aged and abundantly white with a full vocabulary at your disposal. Opting to use terms like "reboot" or "drop" when "remake" or "release" are perfectly acceptable makes you sound like a gigantic poser.

:goodposting: About the only exception I might make is if they ever remake Das Boot.

Retiring of the word "drop" is overruled.

Pickles will be around later to rule on this.

I hate drop more than reboot.

You'll have to take it up with AZ Ron.
