Pick #4 or Pick #8 in 12 team PPR? (1 Viewer)

This is kind of a follow-up to another thread I created about the best draft slot in a 12 team PPR draft. I've narrowed it down to 2 choices.

Pick #4 and Pick #8. I'm a fan of being in the middle area. Keeps me focused each round, whereas I get bored and unfocused when I have anything close to a swing pick.

Would you rather have Pick #4 and a guaranteed shot at one of Foster, Martin and Charles and probably going Ridley, Julio Jones or DeMaryius Thomas 2nd round?

OR

Would you rather have Pick #8 and a guaranteed shot at one of Megatron, Spiller, Rice, Trent Richardson, Lynch and also a better 2nd round pick of #17 with an eye on Dez or someone slipping like Forte, Steven Jackson or Marshall?

As always, thanks for the advice!

I figured this belonged here rather than the Assistant Coach forum since it is more of a strategy question as to which pick I should go with.

4 if Calvin is there and 8 if not.
Probably this.

One thing to keep in mind, is that this is not just a 2 round analysis. Round 1 may have a slow drop off relative to round 2, but it is generally better to have the higher pick in round 3 than round 4 and round 5 than round 6, etc. So personally, I would go 4 over 8.

Julio would not be there for that 2nd round pick. I take pick 4 easily, since you can likely just swap draft slots with someone around the middle or later first and get more in top

Haven't done my tiers or mocking yet, but I tend to prefer earlier picks not so much because of the first/second round, but because of the advantage I get in the third where I tend to find some value in guys who slip. But, not a huge preference as I also like drafting from 9/10 spot as it gives me a better picture of what guys are doing after me in later rounds.
