Picking up players off waivers (1 Viewer)

Alright guys, I searched and found no answer and since I am a FF noob, I figured I should just ask. I made the playoffs but 4 other teams did not, now there are some players I'd like to add from their rosters. Since they didnt make the playoffs do their players get put on the waiver wire? free agent? or are they just locked up? I'm in a Yahoo (non plus) league, so any help would be great. Thanks.

pretty sure that doesn't happen, unless it is specified in the league rules.

Their players should just be locked for the rest of the season and rightfully so.
