Pittsburgh at Baltimore (1 Viewer)

So..Phil Simms just basically said the steelers don't have the personnel to run the defense and the defense is an old hat trick that everyone has caught up to. Guess he don't like le beau
And he's probably right. Nothing but respect for LeBeau. HOF and all time great figure in the NFL.

But he's damn near 80 and his players are old. End of an era.
 Starting D and their ages

Keisel (35) , McClendon(28), Heyward (25)

Timmons (28), Shazier (22), Jones (25), Worilds (26)

C Allen (26) Ike Taylor (34) M Mitchell (27) , Polamalu (33)

Keisel, Tory, and Ike are the only “old” players, and Keisel and Troy are still playing at a high level. The Steelers are having issues on defense, but the players being old is not the issue.
Do you think Troy is playing at a high level? Don't see him play that much, but he seems to make very few impact plays anymore. I used to live in fear of him blitzing Flacco, now I don't even worry about it
Compared to 2008 Troy? no. Compared to the average SS in the NFL? yes.

I can see why the Ravens aren't interested in Lamichael James. When you have a talent like Bernard Pierce, it's best to just back away and let the man work his magic.
:lmao:

I think Edgerrin James would be a better bet for the Ravens than Pierce right now.

Pierce sucking doesn't do anything to change the fact that James also sucks.
True, but they already know that Pierce sucks royally within their offensive scheme. James level of suckage within the juggernaut Ravens

offensive scheme is still an unknown.

Just as it was an overreaction to the Browns, it's an overreaction to the Ravens. This is a good D that slowed down a great Cincy O and always plays the Steelers twice as difficult as anyone else.

Not to mention the tremendous disadvantage road teams face on Thursday games. It's just absurd, and I see the road team get ground down in the second half week after week in these games

Aren't the Steelers down 3 scores? And running the play clock down to 8
To 2 that time! And they just punted down 17.It's like watching Bizarro Chip Kelly.
INCOMPLETE PASSESNew to football?
I suppose you want to defend punting in the 4th quarter down 3 scores? Please, Rene, be my guest.

Even with this defense, they have a better chance to score with Flacco on the field than with their own offense on the field.

I can't wait until next weeks thursday night football ...said no one ever. Whose brilliant freaking idea was it to have MORE of these games?
