Player Spotlight: Kevin Jones (1 Viewer)

Am I the only one hoping Jones starts the season on the PUP causing him to plummet on draft boards. While some schmoe takes Bell you wait to grab Jones as your RB4 and enjoy the benefits in the 2nd half of the season.
No I'll take a flyer on him as well at some point. I'm thinking round 8-9ish.

So the question is, what do you guys think about his dynasty prospects? I understand this year may be a wash, but with his value at an all-time low, is this the time to snag Kevin Jones at a reasonable price and stash for 4 or 5 years?
KJ is at a crossroads, and no-one can crawl into the heads to of the Lions coaches to figure out how this will go. Not even they may know for sure. It may depend on future events.

It's a matter of opinion regarding his future prospects, but thus far his recovery is way ahead of schedule. I think he is a great buy low in a dynasty. I think he recovers. Some disagree. If not for his injury, he likely would have been ranked in the top 10 in dynasty leagues.

How is his practices and foot coming along, Anthony?
His foot is healed and the doctors say there is no chance of him hurting it again by playing. He has to build up the associated muscles in his legs, hips, etc. He had soreness after practice last week, but that was to be expected. He had no pain in the foot itself. He just needs to get in football shape. They are not worried about him injuring his foot, but if he is not in football shape, he could injure something else.

Bell's value is very high right now. I think KJ will be the starter once he is in football shape. I traded Bell for Romo today.

For Romo? :goodposting: What league are you in? Can I join next year?
god i love posts like this...you don't know his roster, the trading partner's roster, or scoring system..the guy who traded romo could have jones and manning with 3 pt passing tds....still a bad trade?

Any updates on his expected return date?

Nothing specific but speculation from Tom Kowalski:

Cason is re-signed; Middleton released

There is no official word yet, but it appears running back TJ Ducket is likely to miss Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. That would explain why the Lions signed Cason -- their fifth running back on the roster. Receiver Brandon Middleton was waived to make room for Cason, leaving the Lions with just five receivers on the roster.

With Kevin Jones unlikely to play this week, or limited to a small role if he does, the Lions don't want to leave themselves short at that position.

IF & Only IF you got KJones late in your draft like round 7 or later he will end up being the steal of the draft. Just wait till the end of season and fant playoffs come around. KJ will be winning people titles!

My RB's in a PPR league1. Bush (1.8)

2. Westbrook (2.3)

3. MBIII (7.8)

4. Betts (FA) he was selected in round 17 and then released.

5. K. Jones (ROUND 20 PICK 3)

:lmao:

Speculation is he will not play this week, but has a good chance of playing next week.

As long as Bell is playing "ok", they might rest him a little longer though.

I am in absolutely no hurry to get KJ back. Most of us who stacked him as #4 or #5 RB just want him back 100% to get that starting job. Then, you have a useable player or serious trade bait. I don't want him rushed or eased back with 5 carry games.

i don't usually do this...but how in the hell did westbrook make it to 2.3 in a ppr league (even a 10 teamer)anthony, keep bumping this if you don't mind...from numerous posts i've read, you seem to have a good pulse on the lions and I am a very interested jones/tater owner.
