Player Spotlight: Vick Ballard, RB, Indianapolis Colts (1 Viewer)

Ballard vs. Raiders could be a nice start to open the season. Bradshaw will steal some carries in about a month if he ever heals.
What do you mean? Bradshaw has been practicing and will probably play.
I haven't seen or heard of Bradshaw doing anything to suggest he will even play week one vs Oakland. It would be unusual to see a RB take 90% of the first team snaps (Ballard) not get the majority of the carries the following week.

We had this discussion in another thread last week, but again, Bradshaw doesn't need to practice to play; he hasn't for several years. StampedeBlue has him pegged as the starter and has all offseason: http://www.stampedeblue.com/2013/8/29/4671622/2013-nfl-preseason-dont-look-for-colts-rb-ahmad-bradshaw-against-the

He's going to start and be the lead back, Vick Ballard's cousin. Sorry.
sig bet he doesnt start week 1?
The article says he will see his first action. It does not say he is starting over Ballard. Could get 2 carries and be done.

I dont know what a sig bet is but I would think Bradshaw get eased in if Ballard is ineffective. Ballard will be the bigger FF stat week one than Bradshaw.

neither link say anything remotely close that he may be ready for week 1
Neither link say's anything remotely close to he won't be ready to play. Link saying he is out?
From rotowire via espn:

The Colts are hoping to have Bradshaw ready for a juicy Week 1 matchup against the Raiders, but it sounds like they'll still want to see how he fares in practice next week. There's a chance that Bradshaw will play but have his carries limited, in which case Vick Ballard should see a sizable chunk of playing time. However, most of the talk coming out of Indianapolis is that Bradshaw should be ready to play Week 1.

I don't think I even have a signature here, nor do I have them turned on, nor do I really care about giving you a signature if I "win," but sure, we can have a sig bet.

Why wouldn't Indy feature the more talented rusher if healthy? Almost guarantee Bradshaw is the guy here. I think he can be VERY GOOD in an Andrew Luck lead offense.

So, who has greater upside...Ballard or guys like Moreno or Le'Veon Bell? Moreno seems to be in a similar position as Ballard (not injured, should get playing time and could steal the starter role if successful). Bell is a bigger X factor since who knows how that foot will respond but he is the clear cut starter when he comes back.

I like Bell the most of the three. Followed by Ballard. I think Moreno will be a part of a committee but I don't know that he will have fantasy value. Of course he took me out in the championship game last season so

Ballard will start
Ballard is the third talented man on roster. I don't see it.
You will see it Week 1. If Ballard is second string come game time next week I will come back to eat crow.
No you won't. You didn't eat any crow when you said people should trade Cobb, because his biceps was torn, and you won't eat any crow if you are wrong about this.
That is because I never said it was torn. And don't draft Cobb if you want to win your fantasy league forum stalker.
