Players That Can Help You Win Your League (1 Viewer)

I'll say it again: Jeremy Kerley

I've been pimping him since Holmes went down, and he's still being under valued, especially by some FBG staffers. Some are still calling him a WR3 but only when there is a good matchup. He's a WR3 sure, but more often he can be counted on as a WR2 in a good matchup.

He may not blow up, although I'm sure he'll start getting some TDs', but he'll average 9 to 11 targets/week and be a very consistant double digit (or very near) WR from here on out in 0.5PPR leagues. He is still only 68% owned in CBS leagues, and that's crazy. He is in my starting line up for good, behind Ju Jones and Wayne, above M Floyd, N Washington and S Hill.

WR's are notorious for being inconsistant. Jones, Washington and Hill are typical examples. Wayne and Kerley will get me points, at LEAST WR2 points just about every week. Since I start 4 WR's as a standard line up, Kerley is invaluable. Garanteed points.
I think Kerley has probably peaked. He got a lot of looks by default when both Hill and Keller were hurt. Hill got more snaps than Kerley last week and Keller is going to be a big part of the offense. Unless you think the Jets have really turned it around, I don't see much value there.
Hill got more snaps than Kerley? Where did you find that? Kerley is in on just about every snap, and he gets FAR more targets than Hill. Over the last 3 games, Kerely has 26 targets, Hill 10. Keller has 8. Last week, Kerley had 11 targets, Hill only 7. Keller had 7. Kerley is still the most targeted Jets WR. No flash in the pan.
"Stephen Hill led Jets receivers with 66 snaps (80 percent) at New England in Week 7. Now that Hill is over his hamstring injury, he's reclaimed the starting role opposite Jeremy Kerley (76 percent)."

Last week was Hill's first back all the way from injury. He's much more of a TD threat, too. Not saying Hill is awesome, but his presence and Keller are going to limit Kerley, who isn't worth much outside of PPR.
Here's a little additional detail.Snaps

For week 7...

Kerley was in on 62 offensive snaps (76%). He was in on an additional 7 special teams snaps.

Stephen Hill played 66 offensive snaps (80%).

Keller was in on 75 offensive snaps (91%)

So if there's a takeaway from this it's Keller. In for nearly every offensive snap and we already know of his rapport with Sanchez. He is 37% owned in ESPN leagues (which I know includes public leagues but still...), for example, so you might be able to grab him for the stretch run if you're hurting at TE.

That is surprising. Keep in mind Keller stays in on all the running plays, and often blocks. Hill is a bigger, better blocker than Kerley. Both Hill and Keller will get more end zone targets as well, but Kerley will still be the most targeted of the three. They move Kerley around, slot, split, bunched. Of the three, I still am certain that Kerley will continue to get the most targets, the most catches, and most often, the most yards.

Good point about the running plays. I think you might see Keller surpass Kerley in targets and maybe even yards and catches eventually, at least some of the time, however, depending on game flow and the opponent.

Appreciate the thread, but with the off chance of maybe Vereen, these guys aren't going to win any leagues for anyone unless your team is stacked with some very high quality and you need to fill your last starter position that you have been struggling with all year. Those are guys who could win you a championship.
Sounds like you've already given up. Hope you had a fun season.
Please....I'm a start 2 QB league with Brees and RGIII, Percy, Trent, Forte, Hernandez, etc. 3 of the top 5 overall players. Yea, it's been fun.

At the halfway point of the fantasy season, there are always some guys that are silently performing or emerging in a big way but are still being overlooked by the majority of owners (and are often still sitting on the waiver wire). They can be the key to winning a championship. Let's try to identify a few:Andre Roberts - the #11 WR in standard scoring, he is top 30 in targets and is making plays. With Fitzgerald drawing coverage, both Arizona QBs have relied on Roberts and he's been delivering. Shane Vereen - finally healthy, the preseason favorite for the #1 RB job started over Ridley last week. NE is one of the top rushing teams this year and Ridley has been fumbling and otherwise not impressing. Bolden was emerging but has a tough injury. The door is open for Vereen to be a top 20 RB the rest of the way.Santana Moss - it has been years since Moss had a great QB. With Garcon looking like he might be done for the year and Fred Davis on IR, Moss has the chance to re-emerge as a great fantasy WR. He's been a top 15 WR over the past several weeks and there's no reason he can't stay there the rest of the season. He's also still sitting on most waiver wires.Pierre Thomas - he's quietly put up top 30 PPG RB numbers so far and got his first double-digit carry game last week out of the bye. Should be a solid RB2-3 guy as Ingram fades from the offense.
Roberts and Moss had good games again. And at this point I'd say Titus Young just might belong in this conversation.Cobb came down some off that high week plus there's a bye coming up, I'd say shoot some underperforming "names" as offers to see if now is a good time to pry.

John Clayton: LaGarrette Blount is the most “tradeable” running back

October 30, 2012 by Paul Jackiewicz

According to ESPN’s John Clayton, there’s a chance that Buccaneers running back LaGarrette Blount could be traded before Thursday’s NFL trade deadline.

Clayton believes that Blount can be acquired for a seventh round pick, which would be a great deal for any team looking for a running back.

For whatever reason Blount clearly doesn’t fit into Greg Schiano’s offense.

 Buccs considering passing the blunt?

Danny Woodhead's name has been mentioned in this thread but not as a guy to pick up on the cheap. But seriously, in PPR leagues since Week 3 he has averaged the same number of pts per week as Alfred Morris and he is only behind Ridley's weekly average by less than a point. Over the same period he's ahead of guys like JStew, Redman, Felix Jones, Reggie Bush, BJGE, Jennings, SJax...among others. He's at least a great injury replacement or flex player.
