Just think if Steve Johnson wouldn't have dropped what should have been an easy TD catch in OT to beat the Steelers back in week 12. The Steelers drop back a game in the standings, the Ravens win the division, and the Jets get the 5 seed over the Steelers (by virtue of their later win at Pitt). Seeding would have been:
1 NE
2 Balt
3 Indy
4 KC
5 NYJ
6 Pitt
Just think of how that could have changed everything. Even if Pitt wins at Indy in Round 1, do they win at NE in Round 2? And if the Jets beat the Chiefs, do they win at Baltimore in Round 2? I know none of this matters, and there are a hundred plays you could change to move everything around in a similar fashion, but in the case of Johnson's play, dropping what would have been a game-winning TD in OT was pretty big in retrospect, as the entire AFC landscape changed because of that single drop.
