Playoffs Thread - Houston V Baltimore (1 Viewer)

BULLS ON PARADE!!

Hoping for a close game, but worried about getting blown out ... Either way, GO TEXANS!

Been a great season, but will be "the year that could have been" if we don't get through this game with a W.

Good luck today, Texans.

We'll see how the Ravens respond to having a bye. They've been great at home under Harbaugh, but they also have problems handling success.

Weather won't be a factor - 35 & sunny with a light breeze.

Interested in seeing if the Ravens D can hold Foster in check like they did in the previous game - if so and Flacco can just be adequate I think they roll into next week's meeting with New England.....and are one of the few, maybe only team from the AFL that could win the matchup

Ravens special teams continue to be terrible - cost them 3 there. Foster got stuffed though, and Ed Reed actually made a tackle

That was unbelievably stupid. I said yesterday that returners in the league now seem brain dead and Jones helped prove it there.

Jones has been terrible since the day he was drafted. No clue what they ever thought they saw in him. He's terrible and he should not see the field again today after that play.

Wow. Game-turning play there. Ravens go three and out and all the momentum going Texans way. Now, stadium is going to be a madhouse and Texans are playing from behind. Will be interesting to see how this kickoff goes.

Smith had a huge drop. Vernon Davis caught two of those yesterday. Ravens lead the NFL in drops.

Texans had no margin for error, if they wanted to beat Ravens. Having gifted the Ravens 7 points, they are well-nigh cooked.

The Ravens this year, in an effort to get their roster younger, cut some vets and turned the special teams coverage units over to rookies and young players. As a result, they have a bunch of guys on special teams who think they are future stars in training, instead of hungry veterans playing their guts out to stay in the NFL. And their coverage reflects it - they've been bad all year.

They spent a lot of their bye working on special teams, and I was thinking the young guys would now be committed to going allout and turn in a good performance. Not great so far, though

The Ravens couldn't have asked for this situation to be any better. Early lead due to a turnover, a great ground game, and an opposing rookie QB that you're going to put in a position to have to throw.

...but just like that the coaches feel like Flacco slinging the ball around is the key to victory.

Cundfiff makes the FG but between that and his kickoffs, he still doesn't look like the guy who went to the Pro Bowl last year.

Meanwhile, Ray Rice goes for 6 yards on first down and then doesn't touch the ball on the next two plays (inc. and sack/fumble). Hey, Cameron -- what do you think would happen if Rice ran on those last two plays? Couldn't have been worse than no gain, and then a 5-yard loss and FUMBLE!

Did anyone catch the stupidity that #94 Smith I believe pulled at the end of that fumble?

What a freaking clown. No clue what was going on in the pile for the fumble, just doing his own thing.

Cam's game plan

1st Down Run2nd Down Go for the homerun3rd Down Pass for the first down
You shouldn't tpost what the team is going to do on this message board. The Texans could use it against the Ravens.Oh, look they did those same 3 plays again. Wait a minute. They mixed 1 & 2.to throw ya off.

Just like SF early yesterday. These coaches outcoach and outthink themselves.
On that, I hope the Niners success yesterday doesn't get them thinking they can win a shootout with GB. Get back to controlling the clock with your running game with a short pass or two mixed in.
You're right and I would think/hope that Harbaugh doesn't have delusions of grandeur about his passing game. Run the ball and let your D dominate.
