Point per completion and point per reception leagues (1 Viewer)

My league has some odd scoring, but I've noticed quite a few people have played with ppc. At first I thought this might bump up Brees/Brady...and it does...but then I thought it might actually close the gap between guys. A qb like Orton, with his terrible defense, will end up getting lots of garbage time...and with his name "Captain Checkdown", this seems like his value, and other low level qb's skyrocket in value.

How does ppc affect things? We also do ppr, and I'm no longer thinking a qb is a first round pick...

My local league uses .25 pt per completion and per carry and .75 per reception with additional receiving bonuses for 75 yds, 100 yds, and 150 yds. It helps balance out the scoring nicely between positions. As far as QB strategy, if you only start 1 it doesn't really change my strategy. I won't reach for a QB, but I will take a top one if they fall (which never happens in my league). So I usually end up waiting on one and pairing two solid value guys like Palmer and Garrard or Schaub and Garrard.
