Poll: Who was the bigger Cancer - T.O. or Rodman? (1 Viewer)

Who was the bigger cancer?

  • Terrell Owens

    Votes: 0 0.0%
  • Dennis Rodman

    Votes: 0 0.0%

  • Total voters

Same guy, different sports, Rodman's teams always won big, so I voted for TO...

Doesn't change the fact that I would want both on my favorite team.

TO hands down. Rodman has championship rings. TO got close but when they came up short he threw his QB under the bus for being ill. Cancers do not earn championship rings so therefore Rodman is not a cancer.

So if TO wins a Super Bowl this season, are you going to change your vote to "Strongly Agree" that Manning is more of a cancer than T.O. because T.O. is now ineligable for the cancer label?

Rodman just did crazy stuff by himself.

TO has ripped teams apart, threw players and coaches under the bus.

I agree with the Michigan Man..... Rodman was a wacko and he was an attention wh0re but he never threw his coaching staff, fellow players or anybody else under the bus

Legit interested in hearing what the SP thinks about this.
I dont think these guys were alike at all. TO is a guy that only cares about himself, alienates everyone, disrespects everyone he comes across, takes no blame for anything, and does anything he can to attract attention to himself. Rodman on the other hand, was just wierd. Colored hair, tatoos, piercings, no biggie. Rodman busted his butt, was a team player (even though sometimes it didnt seem like it) and won championships. Cant call a guy a cancer when he was a winner, and Rodman was a winner.

I expected this poll to be heavily favored towards TO, but I'm a bit surprised that people seem to not think Rodman was a problem at all. He was routinely out partying and drinking all night before game days against team rules, and sometimes would just be missing for team practices and whatnot.

I mean, he gave is all on the court, I'm not saying that - but I think T.O. does the same on the field.

Maybe I'm just remembering it differently. I was a kid around Rodman's time anyway.

TO has consistently undermined the key people on every team he's been on (it's still early in Dallas in that regard IMHO). I don't recall Rodman doing (as much of) that, and as others have said his teams managed to win championships consistently. He was more of a freak than TO and seemed to love the attention as much, but there seemed to be less of a malicious streak to Rodman than there is in TO.

Rodman was a freak and distraction but it seems to me he was also super-loyal to his coaches and teammates and workmanlike through most of his playing career.

This is actually worse than the Manning comparison. At least Manning has ripped his oline and defense. Rodman was a pretty good teammate. He did whatever the team needed him to do on the court w/o complaining and has 5 rings to show for it. What does TO or Manning have?

Agreed. While he was playing, no one worked harder to grab boards than Rodman -- on the Pistons, and, it can be argued, in the entire NBA.

<----Lakers fanNot so much on the Lakers though. He was pretty useless on the court by the time he got to L.A. and was a complete distraction pretty much all the time. He didn't really publicly get down on anyone - but when you're on a squad with Shaq, Kobe et. al. there's not much room for that anyway.I voted for Rodman, as I think T.O. has been a more productive player in his sport than Rodman was in his. I don't know how you'd go about proving that, it's just a feeling I have.

Rodman was not only one of the most dedicated players on the court - to the point of truly giving up his body...

he also would draw attention to him, but would not look to bring others down, including/especially his TEAMATES. Dennis wanted to get his, and he did, but he was there for his teamates... selfish in that he wanted attention, but not sick like TO in terms of almost purposely breaking up a locker room.

I choose TO because Rodman's teams actually won. I think Rodman was a distraction but not a cancer. Besides everyone knows NBA Basketball is not a Team Sport.

As a Dallas fan TO is much worse that Rodman.

Rodman was just plain crazy but he was the ultimate team player. Rodman could care less if he took any shots or scored any points. Just play D and rebounded and did what was asked.

Owens acts like his selfishness is a will to win, when it is just the opposite. I beleive Jones now realizes this and TO will not be back in Dallas next season..lets hope not anyway for Romos sake.
