I'm predicting a big game. Around 150 combined yards, 2 TDs. Hopefully we'll see Portis get 70% of the carries, Betts 25%, Sellers 5% (I want to see him bowl over another Eagles defender)

Just a hunch they are going to use him in the passing game a lot more tonight, assuming the Eagles blitz as much as I think they will....

This is CP's statement game. He knows the whole country is watching and is gonna be primed to bust out to silence the haters.

134 rushing/1TD

62 receiving on a long screen that goes for a TD.

So 196 total/2 TD's

Portis is second to none as a RB pass blocker, so I actually think Cooley's the major hot read tonight. Doing that will better enable them to continue to look downfield with the passes than if Campbell's looking more laterally for Portis. Wade vs. Kearse is going to be an interesting matchup, that's for sure.

Barring a complete debacle (many turnovers, huge deficit early, etc.; injury of course) his effective minimum is around 90 total yards; his upside is probably around 150-180 total yards and 2 TD's. If the 'Skins are in the game at all, Portis is going to be a huge part of the game plan.

Since the game is in Philly, expect lots of running from the Skins. Also, Eagles run D was horrible last year.....remember Addai's break out game? Or Deuce in the playoffs?

Expect Portis to capitalize tonight.....I expect at minimum a 100 & 1 TD game.....but I will not be surprised with a huge game tonight (150/2 TDs or more)

I'm a CP owner and an Eagles fan - I didn't start him this week (started Peterson instead). I don't think he'll do bad necessary, but the Eagles routinely pound the Redskins and need a win tonight more so than Washington. I like Campbell but I don't think he's ready yet, so I don't see a strong performance from the Redskins offense as a whole.

I'll say 65 rush/40 receiving, no TDs. Average night for Portis - he'll still be a beast this year though.

sadly, that's about how much i need from portis to win this week.

:goodposting: Cooley vs Gocong is a much bigger worry to me than how the Eagles contain Portis. Cooley could be huge tonight, if Campbell can hold it together.

I have him in one league and playing against him in another. In each league, the margin is around 40pts - being on either side of that. I can only hope he doesn't perform so I lose both games :goodposting: (the one where I'm up is a little more generous with scoring - 3pt bonuses at 100 and 150 yards)

I hope you fellas are wrong about Cooley. I'm down by 12 and my opponent is running Chris out there against my Portis. Here's to hoping this game stays close and the Redskins keep it on the ground to the tune of about 40 rushing attempts. 30 for Portis and ten for that other guy.

This is why Wade is so important at RT. If he holds it together vs. Kearse (he's a better run blocker than pass blocker), then that frees up Cooley and/or enables more 3 WR sets and puts more pressure on a Lito Sheppard-less defense. If not, you're looking for lots of 3 yard runs and dink and dunk passes at best for the 'Skins.

I hate to say that I am "calling it" but I could sure use Portis to play for one minute, fumble and then ride the pine for the rest of the game.

Then the rest of the world would know the depths of my superiority.

As a Portis owner I'll take 90 yards and a TD again this week everytime

Maybe when he gets in better game shape he can become the 25 carry back he used to be, but I think your expectations are a big high (albeit I would LOVE to be wrong)

200 total yards and 5TD's  because thats about what I need for the victory this week. Actually Im really more excited to watch how they use Portis/Betts tonight.
