What is the deal with Poz? Is this the way his whole year is going to go, or is this an aberration (be it a 3 game aberration)?

I don't know. but I am thinking of benching him. his numbers have been bad. The stat personnel for the jags needs to be fired or beat until his moral improves.

His numbers are down because he isn't getting those 5/6 "Mayo assists" in every home game anymore.

His career average coming into this season is 2.3 assists per game. In three games this year, he's averaging 3 per game.It's his solos that are way down. He averaged 6.5 per game coming into this season and only has 8 in three games so far.

that was my take.Both Poz and Dawan Landry finished with big numbers this week. I haven't had a chance to study the game closely but it looked related to the fact the Saints kept going back to Jimmy Graham and the running game had success running between the tackles.In week 1, Titans TE Jared Cook finished with 1 catch on 2 targets.In week 2, Jets TE Dustin Keller finished with 6 catches on 6 for 101 yards.In week 3, Panthers TE Greg Olsen finished with 7 catches on 10 targets for 57 yards. Shockey also added 3 catches on 7 targets for 30 yards.In week 4, Saints TE Jimmy Graham finished with 10 catches on 14 targets for 132 yards.Looks to me like teams are figuring out that Poz can't cover their TE very well.As for the running games he's faced, here was how they did.Week 1, Chris Johnson and Jamie Harper combined for 12 carries and 34 yards.Week 2, Shonn Greene, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Joe McKnight combined for 28 carries for 65 yards.Week 3, Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams combined for 20 carries and 78 yards.Week 4, Mark Ingram, Darren Sproles, and Pierre Thomas combined for 30 carries 166 and yards.The carries in the Jets game were high but the avg yards per rush was very low which suggests those plays were mostly being stopped up front and rarely making it to the second level. The carries in the other two games were pretty low, which meant fewer tackling opportunities for Posluzny and the linebackers. In week 4, however, he faced 30 carries and many of those tackle opportunities came pretty far from the line of scrimmage.So, if you expect the Jags to give up 30 rush attempts and 30 completions with many coming over the middle, then obviously Poz will be a great start. But, they have generally been doing a pretty good job against the run prior to this week so that limited his production.'HoTnickZ said:
