Hi everyone-
I have run into a scenario that doesn't smell right. Here are the specifics:
It is a Family/Friends league (no money), and my brother-in-law is the commissioner of the league. His wife is also in the league. They have their own teams.
I have offered a trade three different times to her, but she says that she has to ask her husband if it is a good trade. The first two were very even, taking the time to make sure that it worked out for everyone using Trade Dominator based on the FBG projections and also making sure that Yahoo thought that it was a good trade, as that is what she would be looking at. The first two were rejected by HIM as he told her they were crap trades. So I made the last trade semi lopsided to see what would happen.
The last trade was for:
From my team to her team:
RGIII, Hakeem Nicks, Chris Johnson
Her team to my team:
Adrian Peterson
It filled voids in QB, WR for her team and it helped me with my RB issue (S.Jackson, CJ2K are underperforming)
Again, she rejected it saying that her husband thought that it was "vomit".
She and her kids came up this last weekend without him, and I mentioned that maybe we could work something out, without naming specifics. She told me, and I quote "xxxxxx said to not accept ANY trade with you."
1. It seems that he is running her team, which is unfair.
2. It seems that if she asks another player in the league to validate a trade, and that trade is not good for the third party (husband), and is subsequently rejected (verbially and through the Yahoo interface) because of the husband knowing that both of our teams will get better, which makes it harder for him to win the league. Is she unknowinly colluding with him.
This is very frustrating to me, and I need to know if I am over reacting. Oh, and I won the league last year and in three years the husband has never beat me. I make sure to remind him of this.
Thoughts?
