just listened to TO on the Cowboys post-game radio show, and his justification for dropping passes was that they didn't get him involved early enough. paraphrasing him, he basically said 'if you don't get me the ball early, how can you expect me to catch it late?'

Someone in the media raised it, and he blew it off the way most good pros do when you raise the injury issue as a justification for poor performance. He's tough in that regard -- physically, I mean. It just didn't make it all the way to the dude's brain.

rather than paraphrase, just quote what he actually said.....

we'll leave it to you to quote directly by sitting at your radio/tv with a tape recorder, then transcribing it so you get it word for word. of course, unless you actually see or hear an interview, what you're getting is a paraphrase from a reporter. just because it has quote marks around it doesn't make it verbatim.

Ah but most wide receivers aren't saddled with coaches and a QB ignorant and deficient enough to not recognize the greatness they have at WR. See, if they only catered their gameplan towards feeding the ball 20 times to him then his 2-3 drops per game would be a lower percentage of his targets and he wouldn't have to blame them so much. But hey, for the record, he didn't actually say that it was the coaches' fault, just hinted at it. And if he doesn't actually SAY the words then he didn't actually say it. You dig? Although he was muttering something under his breath about Carrie Underwood being some kind of Mallard decoy. Quack quack.

LOL...it's not because he's tough...it's because saying it was the injury means TO would be blaming something on himself. He would much rather blame others and why not blame the coaches for not throwing him the ball early? He'd be more of a good Pro if he just caught the ball when it was thrown to him but when you have a 2 cent head and lose concentration if the ball isn't thrown to you in the first 30 seconds...

LOL...it's not because he's tough...it's because saying it was the injury means TO would be blaming something on himself. Now THAT is an awful lot of wasted emotion going on there. "Fists of Stone" still has managed to:...lead all recievers with 12 touchdowns...presently rank #12 in recieving yards...a handful of yards outside the top 10...presently rank #12 in receptions...just a couple of dropped passes outside the top 10...take the #2 spot at WR in my league on my championship teamThis despite it being his first season with Dallas, a new non-west coast offense, 2 QB's, and a broken finger......all excuses in your book. He has always used his body to catch passes. That's why he has so many drops.
