Post Here When Teams Do Something Stupid (1 Viewer)

A twist on the “coaches” topic, but seeing this update, I felt this topic may be necessary.

MARVIN LEWISC, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo expects Marvin Lewis to draw head-coaching interest this offseason.

Lewis spent this season as an advisor for Arizona State. He said back in June he didn't plan to return to NFL coaching, but his name is starting to heat up with ASU's success. Lewis has a .518 career win percentage and would be one of the safer retreads in next year's coaching cycle. The Bengals have yet to win a game in the post-Lewis era.
also, Marvin Lewis getting “buzz” for a return to HC seemed to be the ideal patient zero for this topic.

I love the sort-of insinuation at the end that because they bengals haven't won a game, Lewis looks like a good coach because he won some games there? I’m not sure if that’s what they’re saying, but that’s a pretty low bar. “He won more than 0 games!”

I never know with those stories who is leaking the info. Is that from people inside NFL teams or an agent for Lewis trying to get word out and create some buzz.

I assume that like players, coaches have agents, and it’s probably coming from the agent.

The Rams trade to get Ramsey was bad, right? Not at a singular move but when taken with the totality of their situation and recent trades.

I mean, they spent sooooooooooooooo much for him. So maybe not the best deal - especially where they are in the standings.

the trade will look a lot worse if they lose to the Falcons this week.

The Redskins continue to refuse to trade Trent Williams despite a very strong market and need for an all pro left tackle who said he’ll never play for the organization again....

Do the Rams have a different salary cap than everyone else? How can they afford all these contracts?

The Washington Racial slurs continue to keep their name as well as refuse to trade Trent Williams.

The winless Bengals have not traded AJ Green yet. They probably won't.

I don't know what kind of offers either team is getting, so maybe they aren't stupid yet until after the deadline... Seems like they could get more by trading earlier and giving the acquiring team more games with the players they covet...
