Since Chicago is already looking past Seattle and planning on playing the Packers... a little tribute.

Where do you come up with this?believe me the bears are not looking past the seahawks if you have read any of the quotes form players and coaches. if anything they want revenge for from the regular season.

Lovie Smith: "I don't think there's any such thing as overpreparing"

Lance Briggs on his approach to the playoffs: "Don't leave anything out there. If you're a playmaker, make plays."

Greg Olsen on the Seahawks: "This is one of the top 8 teams in the league for a reason."

Greg Olsen on lack of 3rd down conversions in first Seahawks game: "I think that game we were 0 for 100."

Jerry Angelo on Seahawks rematch: "We have to play better football than what we did the last time and we have."

some fans yeah, and dont be mad at bears fans for lack of respect for 7-9 team in the playoffs. Vegas is the one saying the bears will crush the seahawks not the Bears.

I like how this song thinks football started in 1967 forgetting the bears won 9 championships.

The Bears are one of the 2 or 3 best teams left in the playoffs, and are double digit favorites. Seattle is not at home and they won't catch lightning in a bottle two weeks in a row. Bears win this one easy, by 20+. Take the over and give the points.

When asked by a reporter who they would like to play next GB, or ATL....Lovie Smith: "Really it doesn't matter," Smith said. "Of course, you would love to play another playoff game at home but if we have to go on the road, you might as well go inside to play. We're a fast football team so it really doesn't matter.

Greg Olsen: "We'd be lying to say we didn't want to host it, right?" tight end Greg Olsen said. "In a perfect world, we'd like to see Green Bay win. We can't root too hard though. We have to take care of ourselves."

Charles Tillman: "I think we're a good defense on grass, artificial surface, old school AstroTurf, carpet, ice," cornerback Charles Tillman said. "I don't have a preference."

Sounds like looking ahead to next week to me.

Ummm....they answered the question they were asked. They didn't initiate the question - the reporter did. HTH. Nice try though. I think Seahawks fans are hoping the Bears are overlooking the Seahawks...they're not. The Bears are very annoyed at having lost that game back in October - many have said as such this week. And many see this week as a chance to make up for it...a "revenge" game, if you will. In some ways, the worst thing that the Seahawks did was win back in October.

As a result, the Bears will NOT take the Seahawks lightly and are looking to atone for the loss. Secondly, we've all heard the whole "If Team A played Team B 10 times, Team A would win 9 of 10" - well Team B used up their 1 win in October.

I wonder if Seattle knowing that they would play the NFC title game at home erases any "happy to get this far" attitude they may have otherwise carried into this game. They beat Chicago, they got a real shot at the Super Bowl, and they know it.

Bears should win. I really like the Bears D line/linebackers. Having said that, Cutler has shown the ability to make a sows ear out of a silk purse, so I give the seagals a chance.

A couple keys to the game.

1. Seattle's O-Line will be the same for the 3rd game in a row which is a feat.

2. Leon Washington wants to prove he is better than Hester...look for special teams to play a large role.

3. Lynch's first game was against the Bears after only being on the team for a week. He now knows the playbook and has team chemistry...I think he has another big game.

1- that's good.. the Bears line has been gelling for a while now.2- you're smoking crack. Hester is the GoaT3- game film, and very few rb's have good games against one of the better rush D's in the game.

I'm not saying Washington is better, I am saying Washinghton plays a big role.

I've seen mention that Briggs missed the first game too many times to count, but I haven't seen anything about Mebane missing the first matchup. I know Mebane isn't a household name, but a good argument can be made that he's the best all around player on the Seattle defense.

PC will kick to Hester...

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that Devin Hester is the Chicago Bears player who most concerns him, but Carroll will not punt away from Hester on Sunday at Soldier Field.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll joined "The Afternoon Saloon" to discuss Sunday's NFC divisional game against the Bears.

"We've got to kick the ball to him," Carroll said on "The Afternoon Saloon" on ESPN 1000. "There's nothing we can do about it.

"We want to try to minimize his factor. ... We'll do the best we can," Carroll said. "You have to be very disciplined about the way you play him. He's just too good. And he's so explosive. So we're going to do a great job, I hope, of covering and placing the ball where we want to and doing all the things that you need to do so we can maximize our chance of slowing him down."

I know what you're saying here and I hope Leon Washington is the better returner today, but I imagine even Leon Washington knows he's not better than Devin Hester.
