Predict the Week1 Waiver Wire Darling (1 Viewer)

Alright thread topic says it all. (And no Nate Washington doesn't count.)

I'm going with Braylon Edwards. Not sure if he'll keep it up but with Tate now hurt I could see him putting up some good numbers in Week 1 and ride the Wilson Buzz to darling status. Just picked him up in 14-team league in advance of this happening.

I like the call. Haven't seen anything regarding Edwards, surprising since no SEA receivers are getting buzz even though all anyone talks about is QB Braylon is a big target that did a decent job (i think) in preason.

Anyway - my pick (yes I have said this in multiple threads) - Rod Streater.

Curtis Brinkley - I liked what I saw in limited action last year when he hit the field. What are they gonna do, let Rivers throw?

I was going to say braylon....also Dwyer And andre roberts

My top choices are already taken. Turbin will be picked up before week 1 by most leagues. I am going to go with a TE, I don't know which one but whatever no-name blows up people will pounce on to get the Next Graham or Gronk.

This is why I have Jordan Cameron rostered in both my leagues. Fits the Graham/Gates ex-BB archetype which should make him über-trendy if/when he has a big game.

I think also Streater is a strong possibility if Moore and Ford both don't play. McCluster would be my other pick.

Streater is worthy of a preemptive waiver pickup IMO. I have him rostered in most leagues, Moore's hammy must be partially torn or something b/c it does not take 2 months to come back from a simple pull (does it?)

Dwyer should be rostered in every league but obviously if he's not he's a must grab.

i vote streater as well.

maybe the kendricks train kicks off again?

keiland williams and brandon jackson?

dont know about kevin smith's ankle and trich's knee

Every week I try to keep a roster spot open, to try and preemptively pick up a waiver wire darling. First week of the season is the toughest call.

After much deliberation, I'm down to Rod Streater and Russell Wilson. Coin flip I guess.

QB - J. Locker, R. Wilson, S. Bradford, B. Gabbert (nothing new really to see here, just players out playing expectations)

RB - B. Powell, V. Ballard

WR - Streater (I am rolling the dice with him), B. Edwards, K. Martin, D. McCluster, E. Sanders

TE - K. Rudolph, D. Allen

If it's a qb heavy league or you have a questionable starter (ie limited upside or injury prone) I'd roll with Russ. Otherwise Streater. I'm torn between Dwyer and Morris.
