Prediction: Clemens/Coles/Cotchery throw successfully on the Ravens (1 Viewer)

I think the offensive players being most underestimated this week are Clemens, Coles and Cotchery. The Jets passing offense was effective against a tough Patriots defense last week. While the Ravens D is obviously quite good, they were not great in coverage last week. The Bengals WRs were consistently open, and the passing stats only look mediocre because Palmer missed a ton of open receivers. In particular, the short routes that Coles and Cotchery excel with were open against the Ravens last week. The running game will go nowhere, but I think the passing game surprises.

Chad and TJ were open a number of times and over/under thrown badly by Palmer. The Bengals left a lot of yards on the field. This week, Ray Lewis and Ngata are also banged up pretty good. I think the Jets have some time and space to make plays.

Carson was off, but his OL was banged up as well so that was part of the reason . . . if the Jets OL holds up they might be able to do some things . . .

If you think Clemens/Coles/Cotchery are a good play this week because Clemens is going to look much better vs the BAL defense than Carson Palmer looks vs the BAL defense then I'll take the "under". BAL makes a lot of QB's look bad. And RB's. OC's. etc, etc If Lewis/Reed/Rolle are all healthy I'll take that group vs any QB making his first NFL start... on the road no less.

It's hard to throw when you're running backwards. If anything, you just proved his point. If a stud like palmer can't make a throw under that pressure, how is a backup Jets QB going to do it?

Ever think that Palmer was less than accurate because of the pressure of the Baltimore D? Do you attribute it ALL to Palmer when he is facing one of the leagues top defenses overall? And Clemons is no Palmer. And he is starting his first game.
