Prelim Cheatsheets have Lynch high...Tenn RB's low? (1 Viewer)

This is not a WDIS thread, i'm just trying to find what i'm missing here.

Two games in question... Tenn @ Hou and Buf @ NYJ

Week 9 vs the Jets in Buff - Lynch got 9 carries for 16 yards.

Week 3 vs HOU in Tenn - Tenn backs got 32 carries for 123 and 2 td. (LenWhale 16 for 49 and 2 - CJ 16 for 74)

This week's early projections for Lynch ranked 12, CJ 11, and LenWhale 26.

NYJ is ranked 7th vs. the run. Hou is ranked 26th vs. the run.

Is the staff thinking of what Hillis did to the Jets D or that Hou will score on Tenn D and turn it into a shootout? I just see NYJ scoring quickly and Buf playing catchup with the passing game for 3 quarters and Tenn D keeping the HOU O off the field and then pounding the ball like they've done all year.

I am not sure about Lynch in NY, but TEN @HOU may not be a slam dunk (aka KC or CLE def). I think that the HOU offense could have some luck scoring and maybe it's on Kerry Collins to keep up. I don't think you sit C.Johnson, but LenDale might be a 5 carries, 13 yards, maybe a chance at a TD this week.

I thought Tenn's low ranking was odd, too. Especially since the Fantasy Match-up has them as the highest scoring team at that position. I can see how Lendale might depress CJ3's numbers, but Johnson should still be a top-5 back this week, right?

Horrible prediction on Lynch, The Jets will stop him early taking him out of the game. He has been dropping many easy wide open passes the last few weeks, look for Fred Jackson to be in even more.

I can see a lower ranking for the Tenn backs, particularly CJ. The Titans have nothing left to play for, right? So you play him for a half and he gets 10 carries each of the next 3 weeks, maybe none in Week 17, to make sure he's fresh for the playoffs.

Also, I don't see a shootout and I think Schaub is too high. I'm actually thinking of benching him (as a flex play) with Shaun Hill as my other QB.

I thought Tenn needed one more win to truly clinch home field, etc?.... I was thinking CJ was full go for at least another week... Am I wrong on this or the above poster right on them having nothing left to play for?

You're right...TENN is up 2 games on PITT with 3 left...and they play next week.

I think CJ over Lynch this week is a no-brainer. I am still continually dumbfounded by these rampant "get killed early and play catchup" projections. Matthew Berry says this every week about games that have point spreads in the 3-7 range, which is absurd. Unless you're the Lions, or you're playing the '07 Pats, pretty much any NFL game is more likely to be 10-7 in the 2nd Qtr than 17-0.

Then CJ gets full carries this week-- no way Tenn keeps their best weapon off the field 3 weeks before the season's over and no clinch yet... If it's a blowout, maybe, but Houst could or should keep this respectable.
