What do the lines at the bottom of the CNN online broadcast mean? What does + and - mean? Right now it shows Obama on the + side but it sounds to me like he's struggling.

It appears that they avoided the tax man that year by legally funneling their profits through wholly owned subsidiaries in countries like the Cayman Islands, and reinvesting their earnings overseas.

I'm sure that if your beliefs are either on the far left or right, you will see the debate as being dominated by your guy, but as an independent voter, I think that Romney is making Obama look really weak. The average voter knows that Obama is only paying lip service to reducing the deficit. At some point, past performance is far more telling than what you say while campaigning.
