Priest Holmes Placed on PUP List (1 Viewer)

USA Today on line is reporting on the front of their sports page that (as expected) Holmes has been placed on the PUP List and will miss the first 6 games of the season. He still has not been medically cleared to play and speculation still holds that he will retire.

This buys the team more time to figure out what to do with him, as after his 6 game stint on the PUP list the team's options are either activate him, place him on IR, release him, or trade him.

Imagine the irony if Priest came back due to an LJ injury.

Not a surprise at all for anyone, but it's nice to know it is a official now.

BTW - It would be ironic if Priest comes in after an LJ injury and has multiple 100 yd games w/ TD's.
