What I am hearing is LJ's injury was pretty ugly - could be the type of injury to keep him out a while
Any believers in the Priest?

No. LJ can barely run behind that line. Priest is pretty worthless IMO.What I am hearing is LJ's injury was pretty ugly - could be the type of injury to keep him out a whileAny believers in the Priest?
He does? 3 years ago. How does anybody know what type of player he is today? He's great at the goalline and can catch the ball very well out of the backfield. That alone makes him valuable.
Kolby Smith moving on up Following the trade of Michael Bennett, Kolby Smith should become Larry Johnson's backup. The rookie out of Louisville struggled in the preseason, and doesn't have a carry in the regular season. He's worth grabbing as a handcuff in deep leagues. Getting anything for Bennett is a plus for Kansas City, and it could be a sign that Priest Holmes is ready to contribute. If not, rookie Marcus O'Keith may be called up to be the team's third back. Oct. 16 - 9:12 am et
Larry Johnson was carted off Sunday with what the Chiefs are calling a "right ankle sprain." He had 19 carries for 53 yards and a TD before exiting. Johnson had added another score and 42 yards on three catches. Johnson could put no pressure on the ankle as two trainers combined to get him to the sideline. It definitely looked worse than a sprain. Priest Holmes replaced him, and would get the majority of carries if Johnson misses signficant time. Rookie Kolby Smith would also pick up some snaps
Those are 2 traits that age usually doesn't take away. Ask guys like Dillon, Faulk, Stephen Davis, Zack Crockett....should I keep going? I almost put this in my original post, but I figured it was pretty obvious. He does? 3 years ago. I think hes worth a pick up why not? Priest has something to prove, too bad theres no chance he'll drop to me on waivers. He does? 3 years ago. not sure but someone will probably chime in soon to let us know. Look who Priest has in week 10...DEN.How did he look after LJ went down?
Amen! Gonzo has been cash $ for both my teams! This week in my 4 league we had this for WR/TE groupsOpponent:Wayne 5-62Boldin 3-40My team:Gonzo 10-109-1TDWinslow 11-125How indicative of this wacky season that 2 stud WRs get so badly outperformed by 2 TEs. Course half my team is riding on tonight's game, so I've got a major deficit to make up.The guy to have in all this...Gonzo IMO....

Behind that O-line they all look the same. Just plug and go. I do believe Priest has been averaging close to 3 yards per carry and has been getting around 20 carries the last 2 games. But there just aren't any holes because the O-line is incapable of sustaining their blocks. That offense is entirely painful to watch and Herm's (or is Solari?) conservative play calling is pathetic! I knew they were gonna run the ball 3 straight times when they had 1:18 on the clock and all 3 timeouts before half time. I seriously believe Herm thought of it as a moral victory to be tied 3 - 3 with the powerhouse Indy offense. I should have listened to all the Herm bashers earlier...this guy needs to be a defensive coordinator and stay far away from the offense!I didn't see him yesterday but I know Indy is a tough matchup for RBs. I think Priest could be a good play this week against Oak if you're in need of an RB. Anybody see him run yesterday? Does he even have signs of explosiveness left? Or is he just plowing forward on all of his carries?
Didn't watch either of the games, so my opinion is probably useless. But, through tracking both the Denver & Indy games on NFL.com, it seems Priest still has some conditioning issues. He has come out of the gates somewhat strong and faded a little down the stretch. Also, Herm seems to have abandoned the run in the 2nd half lately (again may have something to do with Priest's conditioning).I didn't see him yesterday but I know Indy is a tough matchup for RBs. This is Rotoworld's update on LJ:FOXSports.com's Jay Glazer reports Larry Johnson will undergo an MRI on his cracked foot Monday to find out whether he'll need surgery. Are we sure that LJ will be out for the Raider game?
I also have to think that Priest is just now starting to get into game shape, and should still have fresh legs. If LJ continues to miss time, I think Priest's numbers should improve.
Tommy and the above are correct; Priest has not looked great, but he has looked surprisingly crisp. Tommy pointed out Priest getting caught when hopping outside and possibly in his hey day that wouldn't have happened, but priest looked plenty effective and if the OL was helping him people would be talking about him a lot more.Paid very close attention to Priest yesterday. I think that he ran very well, showed some good patience and solid vision. He seemed to find the holes very well, but wasn't quite able to get past the first wave. His skills are still there, but they have been diminished. One thing I do like about him, is that Herm has shown the tendacy to feed him the ball to control the tempo of the game. I like his matchup next week and he will be getting the starting nod. I see Holmes getting 20+ carries next week for 80 yards and a 50/50 chance at a TD. My RBs are killing me so I will be happy with that production.
