Problems with CBS Scoring (1 Viewer)

Football Menace

Anyone else have a problem getting CBS scoring to match the scoring at RTSports. My league rencently switch to CBS, and when I entered our scoring system, the players came up with different point totals (fromRTS) for the 2005 season. Here's a copy of the email I sent them (No answer after 5 days):

My league recently swtich from RTSports. I entered our scoring system and last years numbers came up different than RTSports. Here's the system (All players scored the same):

6pts/all TDs, 3pt bonus/TDs btw 40-79 yards and 6pts bonus/TDs of 80+

1pt/every 50 yards passing and -1pt/every interception

1pt/every 25 yards rushing/recieving (separate) up to 75 and 3 pt bonus@ 75 yards.

1pt/every 10 yards rushing/recieving (separate) after 75 yards

As examples (using 2005 stats), under our last system at RTSports Shaun Alexander scored 320 pts, but at CBS he scores 331pts in the same system. Under our last system at RTSports, Carson Palmer scored 274pts, but at CBS he scores 273pts in the same system. Under our last system at RTSports, Steve Smith scored 214, but at CBS he scores 200pts in the same system. It looks like all of the players scoring are off. Why are we having these differences? I think I have the scoring set up correctly, but if you wouldn't mind, could you tell me how to set this scoring system up correctly?

this is just a guess, but one place i'd look is post-game stat changes issued by elias sports bureau. if one site used them, and another site did not, this could definitely account for some differences.

short of that, the next thing to do would be to look at the weekly breakdown, to see exactly what weeks of the season accounted for the differences, and then look at the "raw" numbers (yardages, etc.) for that week to see where there might be reporting differences...

I've never experienced any scoring problems with CBS. (They do provide the NFL with their in-game stats, after all.) My guess is that you have the scoring system set up incorrectly at one of the sites. Since someone would have picked up on incorrect scoring at RTS last year, there must be a problem with the way you set up CBS.

Since the point totals seem rather minor, could you have had decimal scoring in the old league, and on CBS it is turned off ? or vice versa ?
