Projection is wrong in my opinion (1 Viewer)

According to my DD, which has PD imported, Meachem is the 90th best receiver and Patten is stuck at 149. I'm a Saints fan and thus have followed the team very closely and I'm telling you, the green Meachem will probably only see the field in brief strints this year while Patten is in a battle with Devery Henderson for the No. 2 job. I thought after last week's preseason contest that Patten would shoot up the board. Not like he would be top 40 material but maybe in the 50s. Meachem is ranked too high, too.

I was wondering about this too.

Could Patten fill the non-injured Joe Horn role and Henderson be in the slot (when he returns from injury)?

This is all assuming Colston comes back healthy, of course.

Isn't Patten hurt?
That's news to me. He had a great game last week.
I thought this was more recent than the 15th, my bad.August 15, 2007, 21:53 Saints :: WRJob Slipping Away From WR Patten?Mike Triplett, New Orleans Times-Picayune, Sporting News - [Full Article]WR David Patten had the early lead on the No. 3 receiver job and still has time to win it back. But young backups WR Terrance Copper and WR Lance Moore have both looked terrific in camp, and both of them are more valuable than Patten on special teams. Patten is still sidelined with turf toe.

Who cares they both have no value .Patten is worthless and Meachem wont see the field all year .
Some of us play in PPR leagues where you start 10 (as many as four wide receivers), so there is the potential for value here if one of them becomes Brees' No. 2 or 3 WR (even with Bush around).

really, this comment has no basis in fact . . .Devery stays hurt, and anytime a guy has a chance to be a #2 on that high powered offense, you take notice . . .

It wouldn't shock me at all if Henderson loses the #2 job. I also don't think Meachem will contribute much this year.

For redraft, Patten is a good pick but in a dynasty I'd go with Lance Moore, who looks explosive and comfortable in the system.
