PSA: 2018 WSOP Schedule is out (1 Viewer)

That's the one I'd like to play the most but I'm leaning June 12,14 & 16 for the three PLO.
Looks like I'm coming back to play in Seniors 15th and mixed 16th.  And possibly Razz on 24th and PLO8 on 26th.

We usually go around July 4th - this year I have to decide whether to go the weekend before for the $888 or mid-week to satellite into the ME or play the $1500NL if that doesn't work.

I played the $888 last year. It was fun but I was out after about 3 hours.

There are a lot of people and it is a fast moving tournament. You'd better catch something quick.

I watched a bunch of 2017 on TV this week.  Why do they stop at part 16 and not show the last two parts.  I'm a bit frustrated now.

So, I'll be a rookie at this, logging off the bucket list. When/how do you pay the entry fees? Do you just do it there the day of? Do you pay ahead? Do these tournys ever sell out/have limited seats? For instance, I definitely want to play the senior event June 15th. When do I need to be signing up and paying the entry fee?

It's not there yet, but there will be a link on wsop.com gto pay for an event with a cc through bravo.com  They add 3% fee.  Or you can pay at the Rio. There are signs in the main hallway to the tourney entry cage.  I'm 80% sure I'll play the seniors.

Do you recommend one over the other? I'd hate to reserve a room, fly out there, then get shut out of the tourney. Just really afraid one can "fill up" and they turn people away? Or will they always take as many as want to play?

Best bet is to just buy in when you get there.  I've never seen a cap on the Seniors.  You won't get shutout.   I think the only time I've ever seen a cap on anything is tourneys that have multiple days of starting times. It's very rare.    Seniors starts at 10am.  Buy your entry the night before or at 8am and go have breakfast.
