Punt and Kickoff Returners 2010 (1 Viewer)

MINNESOTA

Q&A: Vikings return specialist Darius Reynaud

LINK

GREEN BAY

Jason Chery, a roster afterthought a week ago, will get a chance to make the team during Thursday's preseason finale against Kansas City. Chery, who had to beg his way onto the field as a punt returner last week, will handle all the return duties vs. the Chiefs....

auction draft tonight (16 teams)

IKRYd - Individual Kick Return Yards 1 - 999 IKRYds = 0.1 points for every 2 IKRYds

IPRTD - Individual Punt Return TD 6 points

do we have a top 5 or top 10 for WR or RB (or TE) KR/PR's?

I usually create a modifier to add to their projected FPP scored in a season and adjust their price accordingly

Does anyone know if Danny Amendola will return Kicks and Punts?
He certainly was slated to return them before Avery's injury, but now that he is moving in a more active role on Offense, I'm not sure if he will still return them. From what I've read, he's still expected to, but I think that is still to be decided.

My guess is that return duties this year will be shared by Amendola and Gilyard.

shouldn't KANSAS CITY be GREEN BAY?
In this case, yes. (thanks for catching that)

I am wondering if anyone has any recent news, theory, or gut feeling on the amount of return work a few guys will be getting.

Harvin - does a bigger role in the offense reduce how much he is used on returns? migranes are also a concern.

Knox - does a bigger role in the offense reduce how much he is used on returns?

McCluster - is he in line to be the main returner?

Amendola - does he lose some return work to Gilyard? does being a starting reciever cut into his return usage?

I'm fairly confident that Javier Arenas will be the Chiefs kick returner. He's gotten the majority of the work and has been incredible in the preseason, to say the least.

I'm looking for some updates on a few guys. Anyone have recent return related news on Jamaal Charles, Sproles, DJax or Spiller?

Thanks. I saw they split return work in the 3rd preseason game but didn't have anything other than that to go on.

i haven't seen anything disputing that he would be, but he's only returned a couple in the preseason, with wolfe returning more.

just wanted to make sure either way.

i have him penciled in for about 900 KR yards.

Thought it was Manning returning kickoffs and Hester returning punts.........

Bears website has both Manning and Knox listed as the first stringers for KOs.

I don't have hard info --- just some vague recollections from snippets.harvin -- my impression was that his return work was either getting cut back or cut out in favor of reynaud, but that's not anything factual.mccluster -- I thought I had read something about them not wanting to use him much on returns so he could focus on offense -- as that other guy mentioned, I had thought it was arenas in kc.amendola -- no idea, but I'd be interested to find out.

as I mentioned above, I think it's arenas over charles.sproles, I believe, is still their return guy.I believe the eagles have announced hobbs as their kr, and I'm just going to guess spiller isn't all that involved outside of maybe an occasional return.I'm looking for mckelvin to retake that job.

Talk to me about Amendola... If he is going to be the #2 WR and the KR/PR, then he is major value right now.

Arenas will be in the elite club very soon. 4 preseason games, a big return in every single one of 'em. Best returner in NCAA history. Lots of opportunities at KRs after teams score and kick.

Ok I am in a league in which return yards count for both player and defense special teams. 1 point per 20 for player and 1 per 25 special teams tds count 6 for both. My research has Cribbs number 1. Also defense does not get any negative points so I am going to pick him up again with the D/ST. Where did you guys draft your return men? and how did you rank your return men?

There is an article up about the return guys. Cribbs and Sproles are the only two elite return men according to it

Brandon Tate 1b
Is this solely based upon last nights kick return against the Rams? Also Is he the type of guy that Belichick will let return kicks and punts as long as he has the WR duties?
He was one of the best returners in NCAA history, and has showed this preseason why. Yes, Belichick will absolutely give him the kick return duties.
I will bump him up my list is he going undrafted right now? Thanks for the insight.

Undrafted in my first two drafts so far because his value now is really only as a returner.

what about F. Jackson on Buffalo. Now with Spiller there does Jackson return any kicks at all?

The guy had 1000 return yards last year and 1000 rushing yards not to mention a bunch of receptions and a few TD's

I am new to this format, and from studying the league I just got into this is niche that can be taken advantage of. Since many of the other league players don't take into account this stat. The specs for my league are QB RB RB WR WR (flex QB RB WR TE) TE K D. I am looking at WR for the return man because that is going to be the weakest part of my team. I have decided to go QB RB heavy early in my draft. I feel that this spot can win the championship if I can get this right. Also of note from what I can tell these guys aren't to serious about this, but it is a fair amount of money with transaction fees and I want to get this right.

This is Exactly what I have been looking for. comprehensive and complete thank you!!!

Greg Camarillo may be favorite to return punts in MN after the trade per Star Tribune. Asher Allen (CB) also in the mix.

Star Tribune

The question I am most interested in - does the Reynaud trade mean Percy is locked into KR duty? I'm not aware of other good candidates on the roster.

any Steelers homers know if it will be Antonio Brown or Logan on KR/PR duty?
We'll tell you after 6 p.m. today.ETA: My money is on Brown. I think Logan gets cut. Logan is a good returner, but Brown looked good as returner and at WR.
